Enraged US man shoots his malfunctioning computer - BBC News

A man in the US city of Colorado Springs faces police action after becoming so frustrated with his computer that he took it outside and shot it eight times, police say.

He did not realise he was breaking the law when he went "Wild West" on his machine, local media reported.lol

He was able to wreak the kind of revenge most of us only dream about," the paper said. "The computer is not expected to recover."lol

Now what law did he break? "Thou shalt not murder thy computer or any image therein"?

I have a new hammer with my little Dell Notebook's name on it.... One of these days.....I will bash it to death and enjoy every minute....If it keeps switching letters and spaces on me making me back up and correct every two seconds.....it's life is going to be a short one Blond promises.........

I can relate to this guys frustration although I am not a big gun fan.....even though at one point I was married to a police officer....Blond just doesn't do guns.....

So the question is can Blond get arrested for bashing a computer to death with a hammer? News at 11:00.......

in the uk , you be lucky to be able to carry a pea shooter ( not a gun, take the nib, out a pen, and take a pea, and blow through the tube. ) hence firing peas at a target. you can get, 2 years in jail , just for having a knife on your person here.
i did like the quote

Sad! Sad!

Particularly when Venezuela lacks spare parts, for the general shortage of anything.

Maybe Oncefallen finally got sick of all the bickering here? Lol. :p

IT WASN'T MEEEEEE!!!!

I was surprised when this story hit US national news last night, and outright shocked to see that it was on BBC. Sometimes the news just flat ticks me off when a story like this becomes international news. I mean really, with everything that is going on in the world today major news organizations have nothing better to report on??

Yes, the guy was cited for discharging a firearm within city limits (a misdemeanor) but if he had lived a few miles east or west in the county it wouldn't have even been a ticketable offense.

I think it's because everyone everywhere has felt like killing their computer at some point, throwing it out of
a window, using it as a football, hitting it with something etc.
It's a story which a lot of people can identify with and let's face it, it is funny!

For me it's the printer at work I hate the most, I could quite happily push it out of the top floor window most days. ;)

I hate to point out a simple fact, a dead computer is still dead if you shoot it, all you are doing is making it permanent.
The failure is confirming your failure, better still is take the parts that do work, and build a new heart, replacing its soul with a new upbeat version. Now that is revenge, real revenge, hahahahahahahaha lol
