Gang member facing murder charges was spared deportation under Obama program

The Obama administration has admitted that an illegal immigrant and known gang member -- who recently was charged in the murders of four people -- was allowed to remain in the United States under President Obama's executive actions.

Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez was allowed in August 2013 to remain in the U.S., following his request about seven months earlier to stay under the president's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Leon Rodriguez.

Rodriquez acknowledged in a letter to a top Republican senator that Rangel-Hernandez's application was approved, even though a federal crime database indicated he was a "known gang member."
The ignorance and stupidy behind Obama's immigration "policy" speaks for itself -- yet again.

As supposed public servant, he has certainly served his own agenda.

Hard to wrap one's mind around any possible authentic logic of trading 5 Guantanamo Bay detainees for one Deserter who caused the death of several fellow servicemen other than understanding it's probably part of Obama's 1st term promise to close Gitmo.

What is the logic of detaining people that have not been convicted of a crime?

Probably about as moronic as allowing them to return to the battlefield to kill innocent women and children...maybe even to cut your head off if given the chance!

Look the man is not perfect as nobody is but why do you constantly keep up with the negativity ???

You are suppose to be a behavior therapist yet you constantly show bad behavior on your own part by constantly doing nothing but demeaning threads pointing out another's flaws. Start an edifying thread for once !!!

Oh and not an Obama supporter but did you know they just did a poll and according to it he was compared to Reagan, Bush, and Clinton on approval rating at this point in their presidencies. Only Clinton had a better approval rating then Obama at this point.

So they were convicted... sorry I missed that.

When negativity is all you get out of the president, it's hard to find anything positive about him to post.

I start edifying threads all the time. Just not about the worst president the U.S. has ever had -- and yes, I mean the current one.

"They" being the Democratic Party? What a laugh! I'd love to see a link to that "poll."

Poll: Economic optimism hits new peak under Obama - CNNPolitics.com

The poll finds 52% describe the U.S. economy as very or somewhat good, while 48% call it very or somewhat poor.

At this point in his presidency, Bill Clinton held a 60% approval rating following his impeachment trial over the Monica Lewinsky scandal, largely buoyed by a strong economy. George W. Bush posted a 36% approval rating in April 2007, buffeted by the war in Iraq despite mostly positive reviews of the economy.

And the spring of Ronald Reagan's seventh year in office saw him earning a 48% approval rating from the public, a rating that was just beginning to recover from the Iran-Contra affair and didn't get any boost from a tepid economic climate.

The poll shows that the intellect of the US voter has not improved since they elected this moron twice.

This poll is down on every president and then they compared the past ones together to see the approval rating of each president during the same point in their respected presidencies. Clinton held a good approval rating because even though he had the scandal with Lewinsky, he did turn the economy around from Bushes lame duck presidency. Bush had a horrible approval rating because his home economics stunk which is why he was termed a lame duck president.
Reagan was about as respected as a president as Obama is now as many called him unChristian and the antichrist as well, even to the point having his name add up to 666.

Foreign policy does not make a good or great president if their home policies stink.............

I can actually agree with you on this, because the voters voted in George W. Bush a second time to even though his policies stunk as well.

Sorry guys, but I read all the reports and statistics I can get my hands on and I don't see any way to save our way of life. It's already in rapid decline transforming into just another second tier nation.

Serious fundamental sweeping economic crisis and political/social upheaval will begin sometime in the next three decades in the U.S.. So, plan accordingly.

All we're doing in these threads is commenting on a nation in rapid decline that will leave our culture and nation forever altered in undesirable ways.

And Pew is reporting that by 2050, "In the United States, Christians will decline from more than three-quarters of the population in 2010 to two-thirds in 2050, and Judaism will no longer be the largest non-Christian religion. Muslims will be more numerous in the U.S. than people who identify as Jewish on the basis of religion. The number of Muslims will nearly equal the number of Christians around the world."

I "liked" this post not because I'm happy about it, but because I agree with it. Every single liberal in America is being indoctrinated to parrot the progressive line, demean those who see it for what it is and speak out, and deny there is anything wrong, untoward, or out of step with our Constitution and the separation of powers therein delegated.

Many of them don't even know they're being used this way. They simply mouth what their leaders have said, accepting it's truth and authority without even stopping for the briefest of moments to question it.

Many others know what they are doing, but believe the doctrine behind the rhetoric is "consistent" with American values, even when confronted with evidence that it is not.

And still others not only know what they are doing, but they are also dedicated to destroying our country because their party and the sinister movement that has seized control of it is so dedicated.

We have already lost. There is no way to regain what our country once was. It has taken 100 years of insidious creeping evil insinuating itself into our political parties, our government, and now our mindset as citizens. The United States is no more, except in name, and in a surprisingly short time, that name will not be worthy of saying in conjunction with the concept of God, country, duty, and honor.

I would take time to weep for us, but we do not have that luxury. Instead, we need to prepare for the coming darkness before we are rescued from this very nearly dead world by the trumpets of the angels and the rapture by Christ.

Indeed Viligant_Warrior, history hasn't been kind to fools... even well meaning ones. Barring some unseen sweeping successful reform movement into God's kingdom design; these generations will not be an exception.

Under the guidelines of the program, I'm not sure what more could have been done here. He had not been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor at the time his application was approved, which are part of the requirements. There will undoubtedly be future criminals that are spared deportation by this program, but they'll only be an extremely small minority (this policy applies to roughly 1.7 million people), and first generation immigrants commit crimes at lower rates than the general population anyhow. It was a policy designed to allow undocumented migrants who came here before the age of sixteen and had attained an education here (and presumably work and/or go to college) to get a deportation deferral to allow them to continue contributing to our society while we iron out legislation that would lead them to acquiring citizenship.

^ a perfect example Vigilant_Warrior. Not a clue what the actual outcomes are. Reality is going to teach them, however.

We'll be in our twilight years by then. You'll be in your nineties. Find a nice safe place deep in rural hometown USA well stocked with everything you need, zero debt, and access to a decent rural hospital close by. You can watch the smoke of the rioters on your television as severe socio-economic problems finally grip a disparate fragmented nation chalk full of competing and fighting groups while sipping a cup of hot chocolate... lol.
