BBC Sport - Mayweather v Pacquiao: All you need to know about the big fight
This weekend, American legend Floyd Mayweather will fight Philippine great Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It's a bout so big that everybody is talking about it - so it's probably best you know your stuff.

Wow your hairdresser with tales of Mayweather's wealth and Pacquiao's upbringing; surprise your accountant with massive numbers; embarrass your ex's new partner with your superior knowledge of boxing tactics.
And be sure to keep this in your pocket at all times if you are attending a dinner party between now and Saturday - you don't want to look like a complete idiot.

He is also the proud owner of a 14-passenger private jet. Oh, ............. and he only wears his trainers once.lol

We'll see. Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, is telling his fighter that Mayweather won't fight. Says he's afraid of losing his pursuit of Marciano's undefeated string of 49 without a loss. If Pacquiao starts believing that nonsense, he's lible to get punched out in the first 45 seconds.

According to almost every expert you talk to, Mayweather. Hatton,(uk boxer) who lost to both men, calls Mayweather "a genius".

mayweather in ricky hatton eyes , looks like the winner. lol

I suspect there is a reason Mayweather agreed to fight Hatton 8 years ago, but has REFUSED to fight Pacquiao this entire time.

Me neither, I will probably get slated for saying this, but I also cannot imagine why Christians find this entertaining.

One Sunday we had a special church service in the town hall where I live and the entire congregation was there
plus lots of visitors and the Mayor etc, almost 2000 people in all. I was part of the worship team that morning so we
arrived early to set up.

There was a really strange atmosphere about the place can't explain it. Then as we got on the stage and started setting
up we noticed plasters and a few bandages scattered around, plus various spatters of blood.

It turned out that on Saturday night there had been a martial arts contest there, obviously it had caused some
injuries. The staff were still cleaning up and came to clean the stage area.

The weird atmosphere continued, in fact one person who arrived a bit late for setting up and didn't know
about the contest the previous night, asked me if any of the worship had been arguing as she said she could
feel an overwhelming sense of anger and hate!

We spent a while praying and praising God and the atmosphere changed. Our service went ahead as planned
and was fantastic.

You never know what you are opening yourselves up to during wrestling, boxing, martial arts matches etc.

I loathe Mayweather. If Pac Man puts him out on the canvas for his first defeat in his pro career I'm a happy camper.

Mayweather is guaranteed 100 million this fight.

Third row center ring side seats are going for 5 digits. PPV in my area is over $100.

Pac Man is a born again Christian. I hope he sends Mayweather straight to the canvas.
Mayweather beat the heck out of his wife, abused his children, held a gun to his children's heads, threatened her with the weapon, went to prison and did a cake walk in time served.

He's Satan in trunks.

I trust there is available evidence for ALL of these claims ?
Not just some, but ALL.

Otherwise, 'thou shalt not bear false witness' and 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone'
come to mind.

Sure there is evidence. Just look it up. I was wrong about the wife part. Turns out it was his girlfriend who he's had children with out of wedlock. I gave him (false) credit for not bearing bastards into the world. Should have known better. Floyd "Money" Mayweather.

And bearing false witness applied to testimony in temple court.

Meanwhile, implying I'm a liar is what?

Mayweather has 5 counts of domestic abuse. I know we're supposed to love our enemies, but stuff like that is really hard to "love" about someone. Having said that, I find it a little bothersome how a sport like boxing can be used to glorify God. Especially when someone like Manny, who like you said is a born Christian, participates in it. I just have a hard time believing someone praising God after knocking someone out cold for ten plus seconds down on the mat. For entertainment purposes, nonetheless. That's just my personal beef. There's fighting in sports like football and hockey, too (two of which I do follow) but even then when they do happen I often scratch my head as people stand and cheer and want the players to continue going at it.

Why pay money to see two people go at it when you can get it for free 24/7 in the Bible Discussion Forum.

In fairness though in boxing both combatants are fully informed of the risks and they choose to battle it out with gloves on.

Football players, not soccer but American football, are very often Christian.I love football too and the risks on the field are just as if not more so than in a boxing ring.
How many players in the field are now suffering the side effects of repeated tackles causing concussions?
How many football players have died on the field?

Tim Teebow praised God by kneeling in prayer after every play and pointing skyward. That made him famous. He isn't a great player but that move made him an icon of the faith for some.

I don't think we can question someone's faith because of the sport they participate in.

Manny P. uses the money he makes to better the world.
It was discovered a member of his staff was stealing from him some time ago. This made the news too. Rather than fire the guy, have him arrested, remembering Manny lived on the streets in the Philippines and starved as a child, he instead followed scripture and gave the man another chance. Realizing if he was stealing from him his state must have been desperate to bite the hand that was already feeding him a paycheck.
How many of us in our normal life where we don't make even close to what professional athletes do could say we'd do the same thing?
