Those of us that are not Catholic do not see the pope as a religious leader,I do even less now that I see this pope bowing to Islam. I think DC was joking and not literally calling him feces.
Amen and people who name God should not be so easily offended.......Elijah, Jesus, John the dipper and Jude all mocked, ridiculed the false teachers of their day in some form or fashion!

If mocking and ridiculing you believe is a good standard to follow when referring to any religous leader of any description, then Im really sorry to hear that... because i really didnt want u to justify why its an ok thing... others seem to agree with you. Kinda makes my heart sink to make fun of a reverend, priest, monk...u name it. For me they always make me feel positive and that i should pay them respect. That u choose not to is up to u.

I think DC has every right to justify why it's an ok thing, that's what this forum is about. You also have the right to express your displeasure. So why am I saying this? :p I dunno.

From the Italian Magazine, "La Stampa":

'As is tradition with heads of State or of government, Francis presented a gift to the Palestinian leader, commenting: “May the angel of peace destroy the evil spirit of war. I thought of you: may you be an angel of peace.” '

i don't speak whatever language the pope made his comments in...but judging from other reports that say francis simply told abbas 'may you be an angel of peace'...it is possible that the claim that francis actually referred to abbas as an 'angel of peace' is based on a mistranslation...

although it is very clear that francis is the most leftist roman catholic pope in history...and also that the vatican has for years favored the palestinian side even before the francis was elected...i have noticed another pattern...

namely that the leftists in the media seem to have an agenda of constantly portraying francis as being even more left wing than he already is...apparently they are seeking to create an image of mainstream religious sanction for their leftist views...

Very, very good point here. It's really just another way they are going about painting God as a proponent of Leftist causes.

If you seek to make God in your own image, it only makes sense to fashion an already rather squishy leader of a giant worldwide religion/denomination as a leading proponent.

It helps the conscience of Social Justice Warriors in their effort to spread a false gospel.

I understand your opinions of the Roman Catholic church, and the Pope. But cant you try to express your opinions without name calling (poop... i mean thats calling him faeces) and at least respect leaders in the way you put an argument. I feel so uncomfortable that this site would virtually call a religious leader childish offensive names.
I like the title "POOP"....To me it represents the crap that spews from his mouth, as well as the crappy way he has turned his back on Jerusalem. Respect is earned and not accorded automatically to a position attained through tenure. Sorry, for my low life opinion, I guess I'll move my childish offensive self to the corner and hide in shame while I suck my thumb. However, my opinion will remain intact.

I think 14 is too young to be involved in an adult discussion forum. People who respond and dont know your age are going to offend you.Maybe you should find another forum because people tend to be direct here.

My problem is with him recognizing the Palestinian state more than what was said.

I understand the intent was to simply warn Zoii that people might not recognize her age and could accidentally offend her, but I do think it's okay for her to be here, even if she is young. My concern is that, while perhaps unintended, the above response may have implied that she wasn't welcome. I simply wanted to voice that, in my own opinion, she is welcome.

1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV) Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Here is one of those reports that substantiates what you are saying...

That is a false accusation that the RCC created Islam, as it has been around since before the Catholic church was formed.
Some do not believe this just because the term came from the prophet Muhammad came in the 6th century, but the Muslims have been around a lot longer then that.

Even Acts 19:35 speaks of the image that fell from heaven that they bow down and worship to, hince the Kaaba Stone.

Fair 'nuff...... Google all the others. I know for a FACT the RCC started the Jesuits, & no one truly knows the scope of the damage they've caused.
I am by no means a fan of the RCC, but let's chasten our arguments to the realm of the plausible. It makes all other Protestant arguments look better.

But then, as a Reformed Christian I would be more likely to join the RCC than I would certain brands of Protestantism that Satan stitched together.

It looks like a waste receptacle in David Lynch's film adaptation of Dune.

That maybe true to say but the Kaaba stone is in Mecca (meaning of the word: mother) which happens to be the capital or main city of worship for the Muslims. This stone that is worshiped by them is referred to in Acts 19:35.

Mecca also is in Saudi Arabia which fits all descriptions given for Mystery Babylon, as Mecca (Mother of all harlots), child trafficing, beheading of others/Jews and Christians, and so on......
Plus if one goes back to the OT prophecies about the end times Babylon all the places mentioned as being destroyed along with Babylon is on the west coast of Saudi Arabia along the Red Sea.

I still believe the pope or a future pope will be the false prophet, but I do not believe he will be the antichrist.
One of the main reasons is because Revelation 2:13 and 13:2 says where satans seat/throne is and that the man of sin a.k.a. antichrist will be given this seat/throne, and it is in Patmos, Turkey......Not Rome !!!
