Yep, it's now legal in Ireland! The world has gone mad. The problem with altering the rules of marriage is where will it all end? Someone somewhere and at sometime will want to marry their dog/cat/whatever. Sticking to God's rules have always ensured we kept on the "straight & narrow" but once we allow lines to be blurred their can be no end to the lengths we will go to in order to stay all-inclusive and please everyone. The problem is that I feel like it's just me (along with a few Christians I know) against the rest of the world who seem to be all for it.

I despair...I have never felt more like I don't belong to this world as I presently do. Please come back soon Jesus!

What is sad is most excuses for same sex marriage is "we need to get with the times." If people would just look at some stats on homosexuals, they would make it illegal for this type of behavior. Suicide rates double with homosexuals, average homosexual has had 500-1000 partners in their lifetime. 50 years old is average age for a homosexual to die without a disease and 40 with a disease.

Someone is going to ask for the stats in this,I guarantee it! And they wont be nice about it either. So get ready for the onslaught!!

Be sure that Jesus return is near. And your feeling of you against the world in more a reality than not.
Those of us who see the wickedness of this are few in number and becoming fewer each day.
But in the end we will have the victory because we are on the side of our Lord and they are not.

Great point. My response is always "what times?"

Modern liberals are prudes compared to the ancient Etruscans.

Ireland has 3.8 million Catholics out of a population of 4.6 million. Have the Catholics lost their freakin' minds?

Lots of gay ones perhaps.

A lot of people have been rocked by revelations and allegations of abuse among "top-ranking" officials in the RC church, I think many have turned away from the RC faith and faith in general because of it. I've lost count of the amount of times I have had to defend the "church" as not being under the same flag as the RC's - we all get tarred with the same brush.

*This is not a good thing for anyone, anywhere. It will cause confusion, in children's minds as they are growing up, and medication will be on the rise for this, and lives will be lost, because confusion is not something to live with in the mind. There are so many lives being lost, because of the*heaviness*of sin in the world. No one wants to carry this heaviness, Jesus carried that*heaviness*when he carried the cross, the sin's of the entire world, were upon his shoulder's and heart. This is just a statement of disagreeing with Genesis, where in the beginning God created man and women, to be together. A very disturbing trend, in a fallen world.

*Things are. Evil men shall wax worse, it says. But our Faith should get stronger. amen.

When you think about it, huge numbers of persons who claim Catholicism are such in title only, they were baptized and confirmed but rarely (if ever) attend Mass. It's no different here in the States where a large majority claim Christianity but most of them haven't darkened the doors of a church recently (if ever).

No. It is not just you and a few others. No. No. No.

I recall the words of the Lord to Elisha: Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. 1 Kings 19:17.

TRUTH, RIGHT will always be debated. And it will always be adhered to by the few. Most people will reject it. Just as Jesus said.

Okay, suppose you were the only one in your community, literally the only one who held to the teaching of the Bible about homosexuality. Everyone but you supported it. What then? What of it?

Not easy. No sir. Not easy. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not BOW to the image. They were in the minority in numbers, but not in power or strength. Almighty God. He and those three faithful young men were a power that no spear, no sword, or nor fiery furnace could prevail against.

The truth will in the end prevail over all falsehood.

So be not discouraged. The Lord and His word and His saints will be glorified.

Guess you shouldn't expect anything less from a religion that allows pedophiles and breeds homosexuality by not allowing priests to marry.......Ireland is predominantly RC right? Imagine that, a so called CHRISTIAN ruled nation embracing homosexual marriage......what's next!

The pope's response to the vote said it all. Never mind God's word, let's move with the times eh? RC's are not Christians in the way I see Christians.

and I would agree with you for sure........as a matter of fact I know a dear, special friend who came out of RC and is now a Christian and her family who is Catholic have persecuted her while mouthing Christianity and bragging on being RC.....imagine that!
