Ford's latest e-bike prototype features 'eyes-free navigation' and a 'no sweat' mode

Ford's latest "multi-modal urban mobility solution" -- or e-bike to you and me -- is its coolest-looking model yet and one you might actually want to ride around the neighborhood on.

Shown off at this week's Forward with Ford conference in Detroit, the MoDe:Flex is the most versatile of the company's growing collection of as-yet unreleased electric bikes. While the other two -- the MoDe:Me and MoDe:pro -- are smaller in design and built more for shorter journeys, the Mode:Flex has been constructed as an all-round machine suitable for road, mountain and city riding.
Tuned into an iPhone or iWatch, complete with pothole notification. Nice bike. Probably costs about the same as an F-150.

I wonder if Mo:de senses when the other driver is also distracted by his smart phone while plowing into you?

Well, if they can make cars that slam on their own brakes when the driver is being stupid, that really ought to be a piece of cake.
