Oregon allowing 15-year-olds to get state-subsidized sex-change operations

The list of things 15-year-olds are not legally allowed to do in Oregon is long: Drive, smoke, donate blood, get a tattoo -- even go to a tanning bed.

But, under a first-in-the-nation policy quietly enacted in January that many parents are only now finding out about, 15-year-olds are now allowed to get a sex-change operation. Many residents are stunned to learn they can do it without parental notification -- and the state will even pay for it through its Medicaid program, the Oregon Health Plan.

"It is trespassing on the hearts, the minds, the bodies of our children," said Lori Porter of Parents' Rights in Education. "They're our children. And for a decision, a life-altering decision like that to be done unbeknownst to a parent or guardian, it's mindboggling."
"Mindboggling" doesn't being to describe it. There is no adequate word. Our world is going to hell in a handcart.

I was going to say hand basket. Lol. It makes me sick to my stomach that my tax dollars are going to something like this. I mean, I guess it doesn't surprise me because teenagers can go have an abortion without parental consent. I am so glad that I may live in this world, but I am definitely not of this world. I am looking forward to the day where Jesus comes back to take us to live in eternity with him, that will be a great day:)

This is really sad news that should be the absolute last thing on a child's mind. I think if this news gets spread children will start to question their own gender because its now acceptable to change it.

As a counselor and therapist in addictions and marriage/family therapy, I am saddened that some in my profession believe that gender is fluid, rather than biological. It's pure insanity.

Probably time to invest in some homeschooling curriculum companies.

Let's see, parental notification needed for a blood transfusion, check...err, I wonder how much blood is given during a sex organ alteration?
I think we need to give that state a new name, 'GoreGone'.
