North Korea approves ‘final attack’ on South Korea as tensions increase in region

A North Korean military official says a meeting of senior party and defense officials led by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met Thursday night and "reviewed and approved the final attack operation."

He gave no details on what kind of military retaliation North Korea would see as appropriate punishment for South Korea's shelling of its territory on Thursday.

Kim Yong Chol, director of the general reconnaissance bureau of the North Korean army, on Friday denied South Korean allegations that Pyongyang has been raising tensions on the peninsula.

He denied the North fired anything across the Demilitarized Zone and says South Korea has not offered conclusive evidence where the rocket was launched in the North, or where exactly it landed in the South.
I wouldn't bet that North Korea isn't radical, desperate, and stupid enough to start another Korean war. Like ISIS, Iran, and the world-wide economic collapse isn't enough to worry about.

I hope China will knock some sense into the regime. I say hope but the way the Chinese are flexing their muscles at present
who knows what could happen. I know that the Chinese wouldnt relish a democratic South Korea on their border but whether that would be enough to reign them in is any bodies guess.

China very soon will be too busy trying to save its collapsing economy, and then after that trying to feed its starving people, that it will pay no heed to its military buildup, nor to North Korea's muscle-flexing. I'm sure that's why this announcement comes out of Pyongyang when it does -- to see if China is eavesdropping, or too otherwise occupied. If the latter, we all better buckle in.

If his military leader said it, he was told to say it by Kim. I still greatly disagree with Nixon's law that says we can't assassinate a country's leader. DUMB Law! And it wasn't like he didn't see some leaders already that should be assassinated.

It will be interesting to see how Japan will fit into the equation.
