I think what people find appealing about Trump is his rhetoric. He lacks the political savvy to couch his speech in more sanitized and diplomatic euphemisms. People mistake that for "honesty" and "integrity." But it's just another form of spin. He knows that people like that he's plainspoken and curt. He no doubt learned it as he built his first tower in NYC, but certainly it would have become evident on The Apprentice. People ate up that "You're FIRED!" like it was ice-cream.

My challenge to Christian people is that they apply the SAME standard to Trump that they've applied to the democrats?

Obama in his first campaign was accused of lacking political chops....ummm Trump has even less.
Bill Clinton was accused of adultery....ummm...yeah, how about being a serial adulterer, Trump?
Hillary Clinton has been accused of various financial misdealings....can we say using bankruptcy as a way for Trump to avoid his obligations?
Obama has been accused of being racist...And we could say the same of Trump.

Speaking with appeal is NOT the same as integrity. If a Christian is going to posit that they cannot vote for democrats that lack integrity, how is it possible that they can vote for republicans that lack integrity?

I seen the OP title and thought....that is one of the problems with this country...men who will not wear the pants and or are so sissified that they run from a spider with arms up and screaming like a little girl...obviously not all and no offense to any girls who run screaming at the view of a spider....I feel rather controversial today!

Honestly, I dont know what all this Trump fuzzin is all about. He's that same crook every politician is, but what makes me fear him the most is his rude straightforwardness...just cant wait to see the parade of people/organizations/countries he has been insulting during his first week in ofiice...

Hopefully, we won't have to deal with this more than a few weeks longer. He lost five points in the last week in Iowa, and while the polled who say they "would never vote for him" has shrunk dramatically, he is still dead last among the 17 GOP candidates as a second choice. That's indicative of an electorate for the party that is essentially saying, "If he's the nominee, I guess I'll have to vote for him, given the Democratic Party alternatives -- but I won't like it."

Speaking with appeal is NOT the same as integrity. If a Christian is going to posit that they cannot vote for democrats that lack integrity, how is it possible that they can vote for republicans that lack integrity?
WOW! That's very well said, particularly in the first sentence, but the second one is equally compelling. I would urge those who support this Trump to ask themselves how well he actually upholds their own values, and how well other candidates might uphold those values. If you find an incongruity there, perhaps you need to dump Trump and back someone who can adequately, honestly, and with integrity, actually carry the party standard into a year from November.
