I'll listen but I'm not ready to rule him out yet.
Never said you have rule him out. In fact it is quite advantageous to us as kings to keep him around for a while longer. It doesn't matter whether you support Trump or oppose him.

It's funny because people accuse me of being on his bandwagon.....I'm just not ready to be on anybodies bandwagon.

Lol why should we be on any bandwagon at all? If we be by default kings; what point is there in making ourselves slaves to what is in essence by default our own slaves? It makes no logical sense, and yet is the heart of the problems in modern US politics. The kings casting their crowns and authorities so easily to slaves and knaves.

What those others you speak of do not understand is being a king. They have made themselves slaves to a particular candidate, or to those rascally GOP and Dem Parties. So for them they cannot understand the merit for us in keeping Trump around for a little bit to expose and hold to account the GOP, test and cut down some of the big field of other candidates, and even to our delight expose a lot of the overall US political realm. For them Trump is a dire threat to their goals and their notions of reality. For us not so much.

Still though, someone has to be picked for this job of president. It is wiser I believe to judge the candidates based on the job they are seeking us to grant them; it's qualifications, the situation of being president, the current situation inside America and outside America, whom would be best for to benefit the people to positive effect, etc. Therefore we have to in a sense ignore some of the "show" and look more at the substance. To that end, there are actually few candidates in both major parties that even have the experience necessary, and they are all ironically the so-called "establishment", or perhaps a better term be the Old Guard.

It's an interesting election so far for sure either way though. US politics, it's nerd Superbowl.

Here again is just another hate statement, a very biased opinion, that blows like the wind..THIs ends up in a huge debate that is not part of any CHRISTIAN's real lifestyle. Nobody needs to hear other's opinions on politics here....it's a total waste of time, energy and never advances GOD's kingdom...GOD will never ask "WHom did you vote for last election?"

But He will ask you how you were an example of His grace. Seems like a pretty nuanced and multifaceted lifestyle to me...in light of that....it seems hard to write off any aspect of how we conduct ourselves so easily.... like you have done here.

The bible is a very political book. You should read it sometime. Start with the theocracy God established for the ancient state of Israel under the old covenant, proceed to Christ's teachings and interactions with government and political figures, and then the rest of the New Testament ending with Revelations (perhaps the most eschatological political book ever written).

You'll find, as every notable bible scholar who's published has asserted, that the bible speaks authoritatively and informatively on topics such as abortion, animals rights, civil disobedience, criminal and civil justice, the death penalty, euthanasia, a host of morality issues (drugs, gambling, pornography, sexual immorality, etc...), domestic issues, the military, taxation, the common welfare, etc... .

I'm not trying to take the wind out of your sails, just point out how magnanimously wrong you actually are and encourage you to take corrective action by studying God's word. Best wishes toward that endeavor.

If God doesn't ask who we voted for in a particular election, it's because He already knows not because He doesn't care. Such people need to take a good Christian sociology class and learn why and how the bible speaks not just to individuals with respect to spiritual topics but also societally to topics involving both the natural world and the spiritual. Consider: http://www.christianshelpingourworld.org/society

Obviously, the bible teaches authoritively on society. Everything from the justice system, to ethics and morality, to marriage and family is covered both individually and societally. It was always God's desire that His word would influence people and the societies they create.

It's no accident that in the book of Acts we find Christians turning the world upside down wherever they went. Obviously, God intends His revelation to guide not just individuals within society but societies as well.

Of course, God is not interested in theocracy since the passing of the old covenant but rather that His Word positively guide both individuals and societies until the return of Christ.

But He will ask you how you were an example of His grace. Seems like a pretty nuanced and multifaceted lifestyle to me...in light of that....it seems hard to write off any aspect of how we conduct ourselves so easily.... like you have done here.

Well just vote for Jesus, he picks the winner every time.

I hear this mode of thinking a lot from people, or in another saying, that politics and religion do not mix. It's actually the opposite; politics cannot be separated from religion because religion encompasses all topics. Politics is merely how we analyze, debate/discuss, or influence reality. Government is a system or institution to rule over, rule under, or manage a society or community of people.

There's plenty of Bible verses and stories that condone our ability to participate in politics and government in both the OT and NT. It's true though and good to consider that there is much bad in those two realms too. However don't forget the good either. I suppose though you have a good point in that we should try to be a bit more merciful to our government servants and to assert Christianity some more. From David to Paul, all were involved in politics and were masterful of the way of politics, their writings even creating a lot of the basis for modern politics.

Consider this psalm, one of the most ultimate poems ever written about politics (also amazingly accurate prophecy of Jesus too):

Psalm 72

1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

But do any of them have the nuts to stand up to the special interest/lobbyists...
Yes, and more effectively than Trump and his loudmouth arrogant approach to almost everything.

...and furthermore.....I am not a Trump people! :)
Did say you were. I didn't address that remark to anyone in partricular. It was a general comment about Trump people, not Sirk people. But you do "need to wake up to the fact" the GOP establishment is not running for president, and only a couple candidates in the firld could be called "establishment" in the first place.

If Karl Rove endorses.... it's the GOP establishment. I'm waiting to see who he doesn't endorse. Lol
Karl Rove hasn't endorsed anyone. He's even declined to endorse Jeb. So there goes your "watchfulness" ... at least until he actually says who he's endorsing, and it is likely there won't be one until there is a nominee. To say "Its the GOP establishment" if he endorses someone, will that hold water if that nominee is Carson? Fiorina? Kasich? -- what if the nominee is Trump? Will you then refuse to vote for him?

Just as an aside, I will. I won't vote for Trump regardless of when or for what office. If he's the GOP nominee, I'll vote for myself.

Not quite.

It's a message to "straight white men" from the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. As it says on instapundit, "This was an important exercise in adolescent self-importance." Also, "The left isn't even trying to hide its eliminationist fantasies anymore."

Both too true.
