Reading the article, it looks like a classic case of not reading the letter and sending out a stock reply. Oops.

Bishops from around the world will return to the subject at a Vatican synod in October which will seek to find a compromise on that and other divisive issues.
Now there's the story behind the story...more compromise.

Francis has signaled that he wants the Church to adopt a more pragmatic and understanding approach to the situation of believers living in gay relationships, an attitude reflected in his famous “who am I to judge” remark on the subject.
There is no such thing as "believers" living in gay relationships, for by remaining in that condition they have not acknowledged their sin nor have they repented of it. The problem with those who are living same-sex life styles is that, instead repentance they have justified and embraced their sin, which is the opposite of repentance. A true believer in Christ who has the Spirit of God living in them would be fighting against those evil desires to escape that pattern of life, not willfully continuing in them. As far what the pope said, consider the source and the system that it comes from. Yet, we should love the people, for God still has people within her, for he is calling them out of her saying,

"Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes."

She is Mystery Babylon and I truly believe that one of the future popes is going to play the part of the false prophet.

I just read that the pope is going to issue blanket forgiveness to women who have had abortions. This is because he has met poor women in South America that were forced to abort because they were desperate. So no hoops to jump through anymore.

Not that I believe in priests forgiving sins - but these indulgences or whatever they are called today, certainly fly in the face of Catholic doctrine on the sanctity of life. And I will admit that these Catholics are often carrying the ball with regards to opposing abortion, to say nothing of helping women carry their babies to term, and then helping them care for those children, or giving up the baby for adoption.

If the RCC changes it views on abortion to conform to the world, I imagine the rank and file will follow soon.

You can still forgive them but still fight against the macabre system of abortion. I think that be a wise move forward by Francis. A lot of people are pressured into abortions unfairly. A testament to the wickedness of that system.

Just the same with the sexual abuse, you can forgive someone for falling prey to that sin, but still stand against the perverted system of sexual abuse.

Forgiving someone does not mean you condone the systems that abuse them, but rather gives them a way out of the system.

2 Tim 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Pope a dope needs to read his bible.

For the cause of Christ

I find the rules in the Catholic Church to be confusing. I thought that meant that women who repented from having an abortion in the past could not be forgiven until now. Which to me also seems very wrong, but then again I don't really understand why you would have to ask a Priest for forgiveness anyway.

Why of course he did....that is what you get from a pedophile embracing religion that can buy indulgences and covers up sin!

Funny coming from someone who prides himself as having been part of an organization that raped women and murdered children in Vietnam.

Hmm...that's not true of the Marine Corps, only a small group of them who were evil, even though the Corps teaches against such a thing. I wonder if my point is understood.

Nope, not gonna happen at all. The Pope has stated that Priests for the next year have the authority to bring people back into the Catholic Church after having been excommunicated. Since women who get abortions even though they know the Church's stance are automatically excommunicated, Priests will be able to welcome those who admit their sin and are contrite back into the Catholic Church.

This is usually a position that only Bishops have, though Bishops have the right of allowing Priests to work under the Bishop's authority. So all the Pope has done is for our Jubilee Year of Mercy is for Priests to be able to reconcile people back to the Church.

But don't listen to what actually happened, instead just quote the Liberal Media who understands nothing.

I thought of how to respond to this. And any way I write it, ot comes out as an insult or an attack which I don't agree with. But I'm still insulted and shocked at such a sick comment. I'm truly sorry that you do not see me as another human, but someone to attack. I'm just so shocked that you would accuse me of such a foul thing. There simply is no retort or reply, because its just sick.

Do you deny that the Catholic church attempts to cover up pedophiles, or just move them around....do you deny that your religion looks at the Pope as the Vicar of God, infallible and the spokesman of God? You consistently defend these snakes in the grass and defend the very religion that breeds such activities by not ALLOWING men to MARRY which the bible speaks against....What is sick is to compare a religion that sells sin, covers up pedophiles, promotes idolatry and the worship of images, bone fragments, hair samples and statues to a military organization that lays no claim to godly practice in order to support and promote your false religion....it has nothing at all to do with a personal attack on you...so stand shocked and upset if you must ...how about this...the very Caesars had little fishes that they would use and then murder....seems with ROME the apple does not fall far from the tree......this is not to say that ALL CATHOLICS are bad or evil and or accept what takes place within the ranks of the pedophile priests....but to defend the religion is to side with what the religion ALLOWS.......like it or not friend!

And to be frank...your comment that started this charade was no less graphic and or less of an attack on me and my character as a MARINE....the difference is I will not cry about it and boo hoo about you seeing me as human and or someone to attack......Which was not my intention.........

1. The Catholic Church as in the international organization does not and did not attempt to cover up the pedophiles, a group of Bishops did. Only 2% of all the clergy were involved in that scandal.
2. We do believe the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and is infallible at certain times. All Christians are the spokespeople of God.
3. We denounce homosexuality and denounce gay marriage. The Catholic Church has been at the forefront fighting against both problems.
4. You did attack me personally, "your embracement of the pedophile loving religion speaks volumes concerning many things!" That's personal. So now you are trying to get away with it without saying sorry or owning up to it.

And your judging my heart and motive.......I am not trying to get away with anything....you made a mouthy statement in defense of the POPE's statement about two lesbian women...talk about not owning up to something....farce is a good word...go look it up!

I did not make a "mouthy statement" in defense of the Pope's statement. I made a "mouthy statement" about you calling us pedophiles and supporters of pedophilia because of the actions of 2% of the clergy. Hence my comment that those who go around attacking Marines for being baby killers and rapists, as was seen during the Vietnam War was unfounded. Because the Marine Corp neither condoned nor supported those actions. Did it happen? Yes. Was it covered up by superiors afraid of the exposure? Yes. Was the Marine Corps itself to blame? No, not at all. So, the comparison is correct. You don't want to believe that for some reason. Instead, you want to call me a supporter of pedophiles and then say I have no right to be angry because it wasn't personal. As for judging your heart and motive, if you call someone a supporter of pedophiles, are you saying you said it in love and kindness?

Look....I hammered the pope for his embracement of lesbians....you interjected a mouthy comment about Marines....and defended the religion you embrace....nothing else to say...just another proof that the Catholic church is apostate and embraces sinful lifestyles while calling it Christian....like it or not!

No, you said, "Why of course he did....that is what you get from a pedophile embracing religion that can buy indulgences and covers up sin!" That's not just attacking the Pope, but all those who are part of that faith as "pedophile embracing." Also, I didn't insult the Marines, but made the point that your comments are as unfounded as those who did attack the Marines. Also, you just said that my comments are proof that the Catholic Church is apostate. So I guess calling the Marines a group that dedicates itself to honor is apostate to Christ. Like it or not! Because here is the thing you are unwilling to do, recognize you are talking about human beings to human beings, but I guess you forgot that. You would hardly say these things to my face in real life. And if you claim you would do so, I doubt that heavily.
