Guest list!
Im sorry, but from my perspective; it seems they are all in the same boat

It is such an embarrassment to the USA that I dont know if I should cry or laugh from total frustration.
I think Ill laugh. Its been awhile:)

On the eve of
Pope Francis’s arrival in the U.S., the Vatican has taken offense at the Obama administration’s decision to invite to the pope’s welcome ceremony transgender activists, the first openly gay Episcopal bishop and an activist nun who leads a group criticized by the Vatican for its silence on abortion and euthanasia.

What on earth made them think that was a great idea? It reminds me of when they made the Dalai Lama walk past the trash bin.

As a protestant I couldn't care less about the pope or the vatican.

Issues about the guest list at a White House event are nothing new, though this particular list is pretty heinous for its "in your face, Francis" content.

Having said that, I must note regarding the Wall Street Journal article that the only credit given is a "senior Vatican official" with no further identifying information. If a Vatican official is going to come out shooting from the hip, he at least ought to have the courage to give his name.

Obama never misses an opportunity to push the far left agenda, even when his agenda is an affront to the guest of honor and billions of that guests fellow disciples of Christ Jesus our Lord and God.

Francis will receive them all at the White House with charity and humility and love and compassion. :)

Welcome to the United States, Pope Francis!

It depends what Obama is trying to accomplish. People are people. Would you expect the Pope to consider himself so above the company Obama will have for him that he believes it an affront, or would you think a man who makes a living out of being patient and understanding would take the opportunity to do something meaningful with it?

From the article:
"According to a senior Vatican official, the Holy See worries that any photos of the pope with these guests at the White House welcoming ceremony next Wednesday could be interpreted as an endorsement of their activities."

Yes, those concerns are warranted. Those pictures will serve as ammunition for many, including many around here.
Oh well.

Francis won't mind a bit. Francis would welcome it. He'll welcome them all with genuine charity and humility and love and compassion.
