Even if the DPRK weapons do not have the range and guidance systems necessary to hit intended targets, who is to say they won't without some sort of diplomatic or military intervention?

America is a strange, procrastinating world power. We are gung-ho to intervene when it is not in our interest, not to mention support our enemies. When we have the opportunity though to rid ourselves of a potentially existential threat of nuclear war, we retreat behind dumbfounded ignorance.

I think the problem isn't so much with them hitting us, after all, their rockets can barely pass Japan. The problem is moreso they can hit our allies in south Korea and Japan, maybe even the Philippines.

Can't take invade them either, tried that before, and China came to their aid, and despite our technological advantage over China, the Chinese actually pushed us back and forced a stalemate. Don't wake up the sleeping giant.

It points out why it is best to go in before a madman has nukes. Once he has proven he has them, your options are limited and the literal fallout of an attempted intervention could be catastrophic. I wonder if Bush Sr. had won a second term or if Ross Perot had been elected, would either of them had taken military action against North Korea in the early 90's, when they were gathering components and enriching fuel.

If a Republican could win this falls election, it seems they would take swift action against Iran, including use of military assets. That might get the attention of North Korea. I just think the war against Islamic extremists is going to go on until Christ returns and will make it unlikely that North Korea is discussed. I think a Hillary win would make it more likely than not that Iran gets the nukes it desires.

Conservative America doesn't seem so strange as the liberal progressive America.
