I just heard this today as my mom told me on the phone she heard on the news the other day how North Korea says they can hit America with nuclear missiles.

So I looked it up and to my surprise not only is North Korea saying this, but our own Pentagon is admitting it.

Pentagon admits: North Korea now capable of launching nuclear missiles aimed at US | Christian News on Christian Today

Looks like all the big talk and no action from Kim Jong-un for the past 3 years might be coming close to being reality now.

What do you think ???

I think it is extremely serious if the report is true. Their maniac leader is capable of anything and the prospect of his own nuclear annihilation wouldn't stop him

This has been alleged for a few years to my knowledge. They might have the potential to do this, but from what I last saw of their tests which can be confirmed their missiles can only get a little ways past Japan. However they claimed to have put a satellite into orbit some years a go, which would imply a potential to strike the USA. Though it's alleged the satellite either was entirely faked, failed and crashed, went defunct, is tumbling out of control, or many other allegations. So it's unclear whether they even got a satellite into orbit or whether it was all just a lie to begin with for propaganda purposes.

Kind of points towards a recurring theme of North Korea studies which is both the unknown and the conflict of information. One of the hardest countries to do any research on, and what you can research is shrouded in propaganda both made by the DPRK themselves and by all the other nations as well.

Yes I have heard all the allegations from the past 3 years and claims from North Korea's leader, but before they were just that mouthy allegations with no proof.

Now however both him and our own government officials are admitting the capability they can reach our soil now, and the report says don't worry though as our defenses can stop an attack from them. The problem I see though is what if they join forces with the likes of China and/or Russia to. Stopping a few missiles yes we can, but stop a lot of missiles I am not so sure !!!

That still doesn't confirm whether they have the capability or not. By the tests that have been proven they can get a missile past Japan that falls into the sea. Or even if they have the capability it means nothing unless it is realized. Sounds to me like our government is just speculating while ironically at the same time suggesting we have some ultra capability which also is to date unproven. War of words and propaganda lol. It's like boys in the hood. A rap battle full of disses and bluffin'

Funny enough to that point. The alleged North Korean satellite, which may or may not even exist, was created solely for nationalistic rap battle and is supposedly beaming down DPRK beats and raps like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwE10Uo_kgs

Wikipedia confirming satellite made exclusively for rap battle according to source material from both communists and imperialists. Just like was purportedly claimed of another unprovable DPRK satellite supposedly launched in 1998.

Well I don't know about a North Korean satellite but there is a Russian satellite that is in space that our government does not know what it is for. A few reports have come out but by its tracking does not fit what Russia is saying, it fits more of a spy satellite.

The U.S. does have the NMD which is their ballistic missile defense program, but it does have weaknesses in how much it really can stop.

Also do not trust wikipedia as they are about as reliable as youtube any more................LOL

Lol the Wikipedia I know is at least on the point of what the satellite is allegedly for. I remember the most recent satellite story very well. Been watching North Korea-America relations as close as anyone in the West can since the 2000s, which isn't really saying much. Again DPRK research is clouded in the unknown and propaganda from both the DPRK itself and those outside the hermit kingdom. Anything to do with space claims are very dubious, as is all nationalist propaganda as a whole. It's a rap battle.

Whether America has super deux ex machine in space that can stop missiles has never actually been proven, only claimed. Likewise North Korea and Russia's various claims to have all these doomsday devices and the capability to deliver them is also highly questionable. The questions of nationalistic propaganda is how much is pomp and show and how much of it is feasible. There's really only one way to prove these claims and it's a way we'd rather not test, but it's interesting observing the propaganda war, where reality and myth collide.

The bigger question is, with the world's best military, why is this despot still alive?

Well all I can say is that Revelation speaks of a war coming that will kill about 2.3 billion people in the world, and the U.S. gets little to almost no mention in the word of God.

This has lead people to come up with false claims that America is Mystery Babylon, daughter Babylon, and Antichrist. Problem with all 3 of those is that not all the descriptions in the bible fit the U.S.

Don't see it saying the number of people that will die. It is countless. Again a point on propaganda. In truth no man or nation knows for surety just how many people currently walk the earth, though they all have claims.

America is mentioned in scripture. Nations will rise up against nations, and kingdoms against kingdoms, fathers against sons, and brothers against brothers. And yet the end is not yet.

Yes I know but that is still vague unlike the many other places that are mentioned by name or empire.

It says 1/3 of all inhabitants of the world will be killed, and with the census done around the world that would place the number at around 2.3 billion. Of course that is an approximate based on the know amount, and of course the number could be even higher than that.

There is only two places I see that could refer to America by symbolism and not vague, but even then one of them has been said to be the original Babylonian empire. Those two places are Daniel 7:4 and Revelation 12:14 !!!

I once heard someone say something about a passage that describes a country that enforces it's power from the sea (which was correlated to our aircraft carriers) but I can't seem to find it now.

I think you are referring to the beast from the sea in Revelation 13, and this has been read into that the power will come from the sea. The thing is that the bible actually tells us what the sea is, and it is not speaking of water, for the sea is actually representative of the multitudes of different people gathered together.

Muslims are in and from all countries now who come from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

They go and gather in Mecca (mother) every year at Hajj and they circle the Kabba and bow down to the black stone there.
Read Isaiah 21 !!!

UPDATE !!!

Yesterday on the news North Korea stated that they tested a hydrogen bomb !!!

If true this would be the 4th test done by them in the past few years of a nuclear weapon, however skeptic's and seismologist's say the shock waves were not strong enough to be equivalent to a hydrogen bomb or atomic bomb.

They however did not rule out the possibility of a smaller nuclear missile............

HERE IS WHAT I THINK!!! I think you need to unlock your caps button.

I think you spend too much time on the conspiracy forums. Give it a rest. It's 3200 nautical miles from North Korea to Alaska. Perhaps North Korea can launch a rocket in that direction, sort of like the German's sent their rockets across the English Channel. It might get to Alaska and it might blow up on the launch pad, with a nuclear warhead on board.

20 years ago, North Korea stated they had nuclear weapons. They said that any attempt to disarm them would result in them launching a nuclear attack against South Korea. Crazy talk from a crazy leader. They make crazy statements to get attention and to get free grain to feed their starving nation.

Why is it that Christians obsess about every headline they read, assuming that Armageddon is days away? Give it a rest. Spend your time doing something more beneficial. Go outside and get some fresh air. Visit a park. Go skip rocks across a pond. Adopt a pet. Learn to cook a new dish. I am concerned about the type of people who post such stories and the type of people who are so easily led into despair because of stories like this. What is the upside? None.

If you don't have anything to add besides insults please do not post and move on..........

This is for serious discussion and does not come from conspiracy forums, this comes from our own news media, UN, and our own government admitting they have the capability now.

Oh, I've got plenty to add. First, this is not a serious discussion. You simply read a recent headline, hit the caps lock button, and typed some dopey sentence; "Looks like all the big talk and no action from Kim Jong-un for the past 3 years might be coming close to being reality now." in order to stir things up. You offer no perspective or historical context. This event was totally predictable. It's a result of total failure by the U.S. and other governments to prevent North Korea from obtaining nuclear weapons.

You can thank Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for North Korea’s nukes | New York Post

North Korea’s boast that it just detonated its first hydrogen bomb met instant doubts from the White House and arms experts. If they’re right, Pyongyang “only” has plain-old atomic bombs. What a . . . relief?
But, as one Chinese expert told The Wall Street Journal, the H-bomb claim still shows that tyrant Kim Jong-un is “marching in that direction.”
For all this, thank Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. North Korea couldn’t have done it without their gullibility.
Back in 1994, President Clinton prepared to confront North Korea over CIA reports it had built nuclear warheads and its subsequent threats to engulf Japan and South Korea in “a sea of fire.”
Enter self-appointed peacemaker Carter: The ex-prez scurried off to Pyongyang and negotiated a sellout deal that gave North Korea two new reactors and $5 billion in aid in return for a promise to quit seeking nukes.
Clinton embraced this appeasement as achieving “an end to the threat of nuclear proliferation on the Korean Peninsula” — with compliance verified by international inspectors. Carter wound up winning the Nobel Peace Prize for his dubious efforts.
But in 2002, the North Koreans ’fessed up: They’d begun violating the accord on Day One. Four years later, Pyongyang detonated its first nuke.
Now, the Obama administration (long content to kick the North Korea can down the road) says it will never “accept” a nuclear North Korea. Funny: The president said the same thing about Iran, then cut a deal that guarantees the ayatollahs go atomic.
Yet North Korea is more of a wild card, a concentration camp of a nation run by a tiny, ruthless elite. If it ever lives up to its boasts and unleashes that “sea of fire,” will Carter, Clinton and Obama shed public tears for Pyongyang’s victims?

I seen you posted this junk on the other page and if you noticed I started this thread awhile back, and was just giving an update.

You are one of those true blood born Republicans aren't you ???

Trying your hardest to always and only put the blame on Democrat's and act like the Republicans do nothing wrong, tell if I am wrong, but if not then I have seen your type before.

The Bushes were mixed up in a number of things as well and were both caught in a number of lies, they also did nothing to N.K. either even though another on the other thread showed you how they did one of their nuclear tests in 2006 when George W. Bush was president.

Please don't go the route of trying to think they are innocent !!!
