The Jerusalem Post

"Israeli fighter jets penetrated Syrian airspace and attacked numerous Hezbollah targets in the South of Syria, according to Syrian media Saturday.
Estimated targets included a weapons convoy destined for Hezbollah fighters traveling through Syria. According to reports, up to a dozen Israeli war planes conducted the mission close to the Lebenon-Syria border in the Qalamoun Mountains region.
Defense officials declined to comment on the report.

This would be the first attack attributed to Israel since Russia began operating in the area." JP

This may all prove interesting, surely they didn't get Russia's pre approval to attack Hezbollah!!

I expect Assad and his allies will get round to trying to recapture the Golan Heights sooner or later

And again...

The Jerusalem Post

Sources in the Syrian opposition claimed Tuesday that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked positions and personnel belonging to the Syrian regime and Hezbollah in the area of Qualamoun, on the Syria-Lebanon border.

The sources claimed that the Monday attack killed 13 Syrian troops and Hezbollah fighters and left dozens wounded, including four seriously. The report has not been confirmed by Syrian officials.

An opposition website claimed that IAF planes circled the skies of Qualamoun, on the outskirts of Damascus, and made four sorties in the area.

In a further claim, the source stated that the attack killed eight members of Hezbollah, and another five soldiers of the regime.

The Qualamoun area has been a major transit point for Hezbollah fighters and other logistical equipment to and from Syria.
