The trial of the first cop charged in the death of that kid in Baltimore ended in a hung jury this morning. Will riots again be the result there? I pray not, but..........

Liberals preach for a colorblind world yet seize every opportunity to make sure its not.

Three black men, four black women, two white men and three white women made up the jury. Gray was black. Porter is also black, as are two of the other five officers charged.

How do I know this? I just read it in the MSM.

What we don't know is which of the Jury did not vote to convict, or what their race was..........sigh

If they riot, it won't be over race, seeing Officer Porter is black, it would have to be an attack against police in general...against that which smacks of law...simply lawlessness.

This has got to be super-frustrating to all the people just itching to do some rioting......... they really have no justification since they can't play the race card.

Surely if it was a white cop, the city would be in flames by now

Of course, none of us have a clue as to what went down in that jury room, but I think it was brilliant of them to present a hung-jury. There is no way they could have come out of this any other way but losers. I might have also just dumped it onto some other jury in the future, too, if I had the misfortune of getting caught in that mess.

Jury duty is a real challenge, sat in jury selection for 3 hours waiting for name to be picked, then in small courtroom with 65 other people judge ask all of us different questions, prosc and defend ask questions too, then your picked or let go, they assign you a number for the trial, and during trial you take notes in a notebook they give you, then they assign you a new number as an alternate juror, you sit and wait after trial closing statements, they pick 12 out of 18 people and I got sent home as an extra juror but could not be there to vote on verdict..crazy system, you wear your juror badge all the time so reporters and family members waiting outside during lunch hour are not allowed to talk to you or you them ..it was a wild ride..trials can last two weeks or months..and questions you want to ask judge or prosc or defden must be submitted on a special form ..glad i had it once but it was very different learning environment..

Each persons expectation of justice in this case is opposed to the other persons expectation.

There can be no right outcome because the persons seeking and the persons required to issue the justice are horribly corrupted and flawed.

Sometimes............but then if politics and personal agenda played a role in the decision.......well..........just saying.

ME's have made mistakes and had to alter their findings after their initial report

From what I have heard about this incident, I don't see how the ME came to that conclusion from a pure Scientific examination........but that's just me

I know, let's throw out the trial by jury system and honor the word of every medical examiner.

So a criminal dies as a result of hitting his head against an exposed bolt in the back of a transport van. So who do you blame? The driver? the officers who loaded him into the van? The officer(s) who handcuffed him and arrested him? The company that built the van? The people who perform maintenance on the van and should have filed down the exposed bolt? The supervisor who didn't train his people to seatbelt all prisoners? The maintenance supervisor who didn't pad the interior of the rear compartment of the van? To make it more complicated for jurors, they brought in gang bangers who stated whenever they are arrested and transported in this vehicle, they try to inflict injuries on themselves during transport, in order to win a lawsuit against the Baltimore Police Department, aka ghetto lottery.

Baltimore juries are notorious for failing to convict young gang members of murdering other young gang members, no matter what the evidence is, including taped confessions. Afterwards, when interviewed, they state there are enough young black men in prison and they will never vote for a conviction. Sort of like the O.J. Simpson jury mentality, also know as jury nullification.

CVS pharmacy was cleaned out of thousands and thousands of Oxycontin, Oxycodine, Percocet, Hydrocodones during the riots. Those thieves didn't know who Freddie Gray was, nor did they care. It merely provided cover that allowed them to steal opioids, cars, televisions, and whatever else they got ahold of.
