Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump caused a stir last week when he called for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States until the government can “figure out what is going on.”
How do voters feel about Trump’s proposal? Well, that depends.
A new Fox News poll finds 50 percent of voters favor Trump’s ban, while 46 percent are opposed.
However, when Trump’s name is removed from the question, support for the plan goes up five points and opposition goes down six: 55 percent favor the unnamed proposal, while 40 percent oppose it.
So while voters favor the “Trump” ban by a 4-point margin -- that increases to 15 points when the same ban is not associated with Trump.

You know he has already paid a pretty big price to stand by the things he has said, he has lost some business over seas already...all the liberals boo-hood for days and days ...now 55% of the American people agree with him .

Well ...as a "Christian" we would want someone with enough sense and backbone to defend us and our rights ...its clear the establishment republicans have thrown us completely under the bus ... I personally have no reason to doubt that Trump is any less a Christian than anyone else running? He is the only one besides Cruz who seems to have enough courage and moral fortitude to speak the truth and not be a slave to PC nonsense that is clearly inspired by satan himself .... Standing against PC is a very godly act in my view...
fox is both the most trusted and least trusted news in the country, according to this poll. IMHO they run an awful lot of paid political content and their polls are disproportionately skewed towards right wing results. i don't trust their numbers. ("Romney by a landslide" ring a bell?)
and Trump is polling about the same as Bernie Sanders, on average, according to only the most recent 3 polls in this conglomerate - but (scroll down in the link) on average of all the polls included, Sanders beats Trump by more than 5 points. something like that link - that looks at 16 different polls - is a better measure than a single poll from an obviously biased agency.

The only polls that matter are the primary results. Nevertheless I do think Trump is on the upswing for standing strong against islam. Has got people that weren't paying attention before to tune in, which even if only a small percent of the new tune-ins vote, that is still enough to push the ceiling upwards for him.
