Lol Nimrud is not the city of Babel. Nimrud was the city of Calah built by Asshur and renamed to Nimrud in the late 19th early 20th century AD by archaeologists that didn't read their Bibles enough lol.

The article says as much. The title is incredibly misleading. Naughty journalist.

Lol it's okay, it's a common mistake. After all the archaeologists that found it renamed it after Nimrod because they didn't understand what they were actually looking at. From my understanding the Islamic State started plowing Calah a while back, it is not even new news.

Calah, one of the first cities of post-Flood civilization built by Asshur. Turned into a heap of ruins and rediscovered and renamed Nimrud. Plowed into destruction during the War of Sorrows by Assyrians and Babylonians. Poetic Justice to a tee.

Praise Jesus, may God's will be done.
