Not much of a surprise, since the world is turning towards tolerance and political correctness based lifestyles. I guess common sense, reasoning, and logic are gone. People operate their reality based on emotions. England also wanted to ban kitchen knives. I find this to be a very messed up world. Evil thrives while the good suffers. It is quite inevitable. I'm just curious when the Apocalypse occurs will it create a paradigm shift and force people to return to some semblance of what works for Mankind.

Many US cities have already made it "illegal" to be homeless in their cities.
More Cities Are Basically Making It Illegal To Be Homeless

You have got to be kidding me!!!!! So it's fine the homeless of your own land and bring refugees in and help them. How sick is that? I'm not saying one or the other but if you can help one group up and going you can get your own group up and going again. Sick sick government. Big Shame!

I havnt seen this news item but it is a typical govermental decision. I imagine it probably stems from local authorities rather than central goverment. The problem with your suggestion is that Tax Payers would foot the bill for these Prisons.
There are homeless hostels here mainly run by charities but there is not enough of them. Also there is a hard core of homeless who refuse to use them.
