The Alaska earthquake here in January was the largest, or felt like the largest since the 1964 Good Friday quake, the second largest ever in recorded history at 9.2. The recent one was 7.1 and went on for a long time with a larger jolt at the end. In the 1964, that larger jolt went on for another 3 minutes. The Lord has warned me through two earthquakes, one in fall of 2014 in the morning that woke Anchorage up. One of the warnings was about my oversleeping-- If we want to win the daily victory, we need to get up with the warriors, like Jesus did at or before sunrise (the Bible said he got up "very early" in the morning and taught in the temple." There was a message with the quake that I shared with a pastor of a large church who said it was valid. The quake occurred shortly before the re-release of the movie: "Left Behind" I was up in the mountains around that time reading Isaiah and a lady pointed out an eagle soaring overhead. Just before the 7.1 quake hit, I was half-asleep saying to myself, "I know the power of God is real." and Immediately the quake hit! I was angry at feeling persecuted and so I asked God to send an earthquake "Not so large as to cause deaths, but large enough to warn people, including my enemies, and confirm things I had been saying." (paraphrase). Then the 7.1 hit after I had a dream that referred to God's power.

There are more powerful signs associated with these three quakes, but, you can find them by reading about the 64 quake and these other quakes. Pray for the LOrd to help you find the clues--

If I recall, that '64 quake sent tidal waves down to Crescent City, Ca.

The reason why natural disasters have more devastating effects now than before is not that they get worse,
but that people live in worse places (and build worse houses).

I was awake/there during the recent earthquake. Was a good amount of shaking, but little damage occurred. Anchorage, ak is immune from tsunamis pretty much, because of the natural layout of the area. The only damage in my part of town, was the falling over of my " my little pony" figurines. Ground did split closer to the epicentre. image.jpeg

I'd think all the snow and ice.......six months of daylight, six months of dark........zillions of bears 'n' such would be a warning from God.........

He must be wondering why folks LIVE THERE..........

Natural disasters may have occurred before the Great Flood, but the ones we have today are the continued aftershocks from the restructuring of the earth's crust during and after the Great Flood. Natural disasters were much more extreme thousands of years ago. They're part of living in a fallen creation.

The OP needs to see a psychologist to talk about this! The OP is full of serious nonsense in thinking that God is giving him predictions concerning the end of the world and the return of Jesus.

The town of Port Alberni, BC, was completely destroyed by the '64 quake. It was at the end of a fjord on the west coast of Vancouver Island and as the fjord narrowed, the wave got higher and higher till the entire town was wiped out. Let me know when that happens again, as I haven't seen it in the BC news. I also saw the beaches on the west coast of Vancouver Island in 1971, and there were HUGE logs which had been swept up 100's of feet above the high water line in the tsumani wave after the '64 earthquake. I haven't seen that happening recently.

As for Left Behind, please see a theologian who actually knows the Bible. Left Behind is a FICTION book series made into movies on several occasions. FICTION means NOT true! Imaginary!!!

I just hate this kind of junk eschatology in every way, shape and form.
