Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone might have some insight on this. I'm in Washington state and made a trip today to Snoqualmie Pass. While there, I visited a pancake house and noticed three US military eating breakfast. I didn't think anything of it; I don't know what's in the area as far as bases go.
However, on my way back to Seattle I saw six (or so) Canadian military vehicles going Southbound on I-90. I know they were Canadian because of the plates on the vehicles, and because I could see the Canadian flag patch on the left arm of one of the drivers.

I wish I had managed to get a picture.

Anyone know if there are joint exercises going on between the US and Canada on a regular basis? Just curious.

Yes. They occur on a regular basis.

There has been a lot of military exercises in my area of Rice, MN. Several times, since last summer, as part "Jade Helm 2015, and now, Jade Helm 2016" Helicopters have been circling the town. In the last 2 weeks, 2 military helicopters flew low over my house.

I think the military is preparing for the 2016 Economic Collapse.

The US and Canadian militaries have conducted joint exercises for decades. Large-scale cooperation began during the Second World War and was maintained through to the present.

The world is clearly getting more dangerous, so a spike in joint exercises is to be expected.

That doesn't make me feel any better about having United Nations troops in the United States.

Hmm! I thought Canada and the US were allies? Am I wrong in this?

But you don't have to worry about the Canada army. It is tiny and mostly French speaking. Especially the officers. So they won't be able to do much harm, since they can't communicate with the US army.

Just funning you!

Oui! Quelle petite armee!

Actually, the Canadian Army just got word on the sly from our intelligence service that there is good coffee in Seattle. One day this might become public knowledge, so SHHHH! ;)

Absolutely not! I give him to you! The whole country gives him to you!

We will be forever grateful if you take this boy bouncer off our hands! OK! How much do you want to take him off our hands??

Tell you what! We'll give you all of Quebec! Not enough? OK throw in Ontario, too!

Thanks very much! Killed three birds with one stone! (Chuckles to self!)

Maybe they are on their way south to conquer Mexico? Then they will have us surrounded and POTUS will surrender.

Just hoping that the NSA will pass the idea along to the Canadians.

Trump will probably attempt to annex both and make them US territories or even better states.

The US and Canadian military have long held joint training exercises both on US and Canadian soil.

NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) based here in Colorado Springs is a longstanding joint venture between American and Canadian air forces. By the treaty that created NORAD the commander is always a US officer and the deputy commander is always a Canadian officer. The rest of the personnel that man NORAD's two locations here are a blend of US and Canadian military.

It only makes sense that two allies that share a border and have common security interests would work and train together.

Yes, the Canadian military relies heavily on the U.S. Military for aid and training, in fact all of North America and most of the world does.

Canada has been a good neighbor and ally. It would be nice if Mexico would emulate their example. Hey Canada gave us hockey or fist fights on ice.

I don't know about that exact one your talking about, but they are so common. It's nothing to be alarmed about, and they can be beneficial for a multitude of reasons. One, they help improve communications between different countries and services. Second, it allows different countries to see how there armies, and supplies integrate together to achieve an objective. Trust me, it's completely normal.
