Sounds like Prince was treated for a drug overdose a few days ago. A tmz article states that he was given a "save" shot at an illinois hospital that they administer for opiate overdoses. He declined to stay in the hospital after he couldn't be given a private room and the staff advised him to stay for 24 hours.

Prince absolutely took drugs. His private plane made an emergency landing and he was treated with Narcan for an overdose of opiates. This was no secret. After trying to get a private room, the medical facility stated they had no private room available, so his entourage put him back on his private jet and flew on to Minneapolis. I don't understand why so many people and fans are in denial about Prince and his lifestyle choices. How do people read clear information about him being treated for a drug overdose and then try to say he had the flu and did not use drugs?
When you are taken into an emergency room, you will be treated by a team of medical experts. There may be a total of a dozen different people hooking you up to machines and talking to you and testing your vital signs. Each of those people will remember being there, because in this case, they were treating Prince. The story was released right away. Prince's people tried to get ahead of it and told the press he had the flu. But reporters know how to get the truth. They know there were a dozen or more people in that room and they all know he was given a dose of Narcan for a drug overdose, specifically opiates. Was it heroin? Maybe. That is among the most popular. But one or more of the medical team talked to reporters and told them about the "save" medicine Narcan. Maybe they were just telling the truth and maybe they were paid for the information.
This is fairly standard behavior for celebrities and their inner circle. They want to protect the celebrity. The flu was the best idea at the time. Think of how many times this has happened before. Liberace, Freddie Mercury, Rock Hudson, Michael Jackson, and many other celebrities and performers who wanted to keep their private life a secret. Fans tend to believe anything that makes their idol appear worthy of praise. Prince fans are saying it might be an undetected heart condition. They are saying Prince didn't use drugs. They act like they knew him personally.
Basketball player Wilt Chamberlin stated he slept with over 10,000 different women. Another famous basketball player, Magic Johnson stated he got AIDS after having sex with over 600 different people. I remember meeting an actress in Hollywood years ago who told me she would sleep with MVP basketball player Isaiah Thomas, of the Detroit Pistons whenever his team played in Los Angeles. She said many pro athletes have sex with different women in different cities they visit. A woman I dated was propositioned by Utah Jazz player Moses Malone and he told he he wanted to fly her to the All-Star game. A former girlfriend had a crush on Rob Lowe and met him at the time he had his own sex scandal with a 13-year-old girl. Lowe invited her and a friend of hers to a party and asked them to have sex while he watched. They declined.

So when your immune system is compromised, you are susceptible to getting ill from lots of things, including the flu. When you are near the end of the line, you may take extremely large doses of medicine you think will prolong your life for a few more days. What was the underlying medical issue that destroyed the immune system of Prince? Today's autopsy will likely discover the truth. I doubt most of us will be very surprised.

Yup, narcan is used to remove drugs from the body specifically opiates....you could argue that his entourage killed him because anytime someone is OD'd on drugs the best mode of operation is to stay in a healthcare facility like a hospital because depending on their dose it could be mild or cause cardiac arrest within minutes of the drug hitting full potency in the body. His entourage was stupid if they were trying to protect his image by denying him access to a non-private room...it would have been better to recieve supportive care immediately that way as to putting him on a plane and flying him around which would give more time for the drug to hit maximum concentration and be more lethal...narcan can only go so far and then it's effectiveness is nullified if the amount of drug outweighs the amount of narcan....then it's game over...
I don't care if Prince was a great musician, never put trust in man only Jesus...celebs are flawed people like us but just because they are celebs doesn't mean we should give them a pass for their sins and it is not being judgemental b/c we including me as Christians have sins. Prince shouldn't get a pass for being a celeb....if he had a drug addiction he was a druggy plain and simple....there shouldn't be any whitewash just because of his status....

This all reminds me of Jesus Christ hanging there before His last few breaths, and below they were casting lots for His clothing, spouting horrible things about what a delusional criminal He was, laughing and saying that He couldn't even save Himself, while Christ's mother and followers were grief stricken and horrified at the sight of His beaten, unrecognizable body dripping Blood down the wooden Cross.
