This all reminds me of Jesus Christ hanging there before His last few breaths, and below they were casting lots for His clothing, spouting horrible things about what a delusional criminal He was, laughing and saying that He couldn't even save Himself, while Christ's mother and followers were grief stricken and horrified at the sight of His beaten, unrecognizable body dripping Blood down the wooden Cross.
No matter if Prince was a fine example of a Christian or one of the worst, no flesh is glorified in God's sight. Not Billy Graham, Joseph Prince, or your own pastor can exalt one iota of their flesh to God. Not you either.
To make a mockery out of someone's death, no matter what your opinion of them, is to make a mockery out of what Christ did for that person. Gossiping about someone's life is not giving God glory. Gossip itself is a sin. So each time someone takes pleasure in exposing someone's sins (like the Pharisees did to the woman they dragged to the street to stone), they are exposing their own flesh. That goes for me, that goes for you, that goes for everyone.
What possible motive could someone have to rejoice in gossiping about somebody's sins?
