[h=3]New Rasmussen Presidential Poll: Trump 41%, Clinton 39%

[/h]

Last week, Rasmussen Reports gave voters the option of staying home on Election Day if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the big party nominees, and six percent (6%) said that’s what they intend to do for now. Clinton and Trump were tied with 38% support each; 16% said they would vote for some other candidate, and two percent (2%) were undecided. But Trump edges slightly ahead if the stay-at-home option is removed. Trump also now does twice as well among Democrats as Clinton does among Republicans. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 41% support to Clinton’s 39%. Fifteen percent (15%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are ...Read more

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Trump vs. Clinton

You should have noted that when all the major polls are combined, Clinton leads by over 6%. Between 75% and 85% of Hispanics have a negative opinion of Trump. Women and blacks also view him mostly negatively. The Republican leaders cannot find a lawful way to remove him as a candidate so they will allow him to be the nominee, most likely. When Clinton crushes him, he will blast the Republican party, saying they sabotaged him from the beginning. When he goes down, he will drag senators and congressmen and governors down with him. Then we all get to watch Hillary appoint a left-wing progressive judge to the Supreme Court. I can't imagine a worse case outcome for Republicans and conservative Christians.

I'm picturing Christ talking about hell to people and them booing Him, suggesting He be a little more upbeat, and do more like the false religions and stick to taking of nirvana and telling them hell does not exist.

I see it as simple math and demographics of the U.S. population, not conjecture. Eight years of very large growth in the Hispanic population. An increase of over 100% in the number of Hispanics registering to vote in several key states. A 75% to 85% negative opinion of Donald Trump by Hispanic voters. Add the numbers and it is virtually impossible for Republicans to defeat Hillary Clinton, not to mention all the Republican Senators and Congressmen who will be drug down with Trump. I'm trying to offer a dose of reality. In December, there will be a lot of finger pointing. Both two and Four years from now, I can almost guarantee that Republicans will repeat the same mistakes and Democrats will increase their majorities in Congress and in governorships, and will see a series of liberal federal judges appointed. To many conservatives, this is very negative news. For me, it suggests Christ may return sooner than we previously thought, which is quite good news.

I have noted that many times before....... :) This Poll is the first legitimate Poll I have seen with Trump leading, and for that reason it was worthy of note.

I'm not sure what you mean by first or legitimate or worthy of note.

To me, what is most noteworthy, is the massive increase in registered Hispanic voters who state they overwhelmingly reject Donald Trump and will vote for Hillary Clinton, as well as other Democrats running for elected office. Try to imagine Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, and even Texas becoming Blue States. It would be so discouraging and it would get worse with each passing election, as Hispanic populations across the country continue growing.

What I mean is that up until this particular Poll, in every National Poll Clinton was beating Trump........There were a few Polls conducted by small groups whose political ideology may have had influence in their results that had Trump even or ahead of Hillary. Rasmussen was the first acknowledged Poll to show Trump ahead of Clinton, and that is noteworthy from a Political standpoint. I did not say Trump would defeat Hillary, I simply posted the results of this one Poll.

I really don't care either way, in my opinion, BOTH of them are unworthy to serve as Dog Catcher, much less President.

If you look at the link and view the graph and past polls, the Rasmussen poll was the sixth "legitimate" poll that had Trump ahead of Clinton. That's why I didn't view it as noteworthy, since so many other trusted polls have him an average of 6.4 points behind. I agree with your assessment of their lack of leadership skills.

Lets be careful we don't denigrate dog catchers.

only by 2 points -- probably has a margin of error close to that.

the only other polls (currently) showing him ahead of Clinton are FOX and USA Today -- i agree with your assessment that those organizations have obvious bias & am also skeptical of their polling.

RCP average is still Clinton +6.2

and vs Sanders, Sanders by +13.6 -- more than twice the margin, and that's been the consistent story in the polls for almost a year.

((why in the world the DNC doesn't pay attention to that, i can't say -- i guess confident that any dem. will beat Trump? probably something more sinister than that .. ))

True that............! They are hard working people, but, still, not exactly Presidential material.......however, given those now campaigning for the job............The local Animal Control Officer is looking pretty good.
