Former Facebook Workers: We Routinely Suppressed Conservative News

Facebook workers routinely suppressed news stories of interest to conservative readers from the social network’s influential “trending” news section, according to a former journalist who worked on the project. This individual says that workers prevented stories about the right-wing CPAC gathering, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and other conservative topics from appearing in the highly-influential section, even though they were organically trending among the site’s users.

I can't understand why anyone bothers to Facebook anyway........so, it doesn't bother me what they do or don't do.

Facebook, Twitter, that Bluebird thingy whatever it is, Amazon, or all the rest.......sigh.....

Im rarely on FB. In fact I am anonymous on FB. Im only on there to spy on my kids and give the clintion supporters a hard time occasionally.:p

I saw this on Facebook today! I have mostly conservative Christians from the American Bible belt on my feed. You better believe I get a lot of conservative stuff.

The left wing stuff comes from my Canadian non-Christian friends! Sigh! I try and witness with posts, but then they just unfollow me.

Amazon isn't a social-networking site. It's a place where you buy things, mostly books.

Why? They have a great range of books and many of them you can't easily find in bricks and mortar shops. Although, I prefer places like Book Depository. No shipping costs!

I do not shop online........bank online........any such online..........goodness.........it's ALL I can do to participate on a Christian Web Site online.........

........and, given the number of times a persons Identity, Credit/Banking Information is stolen from online sites.......well, I just don't understand why one would take the risk?

Now, that's just me............but that's ME!

personally i used some software to block all their "trending" and other ads anyway, and i would never click on one if it wasn't already blocked.
