Deaths reported after multiple tornadoes touch down in ...

At least two people were killed in Oklahoma Monday as tornadoes spawned by a strong series of storms hit the Great Plains, destroying homes, overturning vehicles and stripping the bark from trees.
Officials in Garvin County, south of Oklahoma City, a man believed to be in his upper 70s died when a tornado hit a home near Wynnewood. Just to the southeast, in Johnston County, the sheriff's office said a man was killed by a tornado near Connerville.

I watched about an hour and a half of coverage from the Weather Channel on this yesterday evening. It was really weird, scary, and kinda cool to watch LIVE as tornadoes formed, dropped down to the ground, tore across the landscape, and then rope out and fade away. I saw 4 do this in the span of just one hour.

God bless and keep the families of those lost yesterday, and be with those who are suffering this morning in the aftermath.

For some reason, the OK City area of Oklahoma has had a big target on it for the past 20 yrs or so...

Two of us from church went up to Moore to take relief supplies after their big tornado back 15yrs ago or so... it's amazing to see a swath of bare dirt 200-300 yards wide that snakes through what used to be neighborhoods...

The devastation that can happen in just moments is difficult to believe. Of course with winds well over 200 mph, it doesn't take long. I've seen asphalt ripped off the ground in highways.. amazing stuff.

Some of my wife's relatives come from Wynnewood (pronounced Winnie-wood, by the way)
