This is what happens when people have more money and free time than common sense.

Yes, they haven't read their Bible...

Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God, Luke 4:12.

Willie, I believe it was altitude sickness which is unique to climbers of Mt. Everest.
Could be wrong.

He was just the latest to die on Everest........the others didn't just get sick..........Still, I have been sick enough to be concerned about dying, but I wasn't on Everest! :) Just saying.....

Hmm, I DO live on a mountain though.........but it's got paved streets, Walmart, and a Burger King or two! :)

People are trying to find pleasure by relating fun to a good feeling from the flesh but they Don't seem to realize that thats just a way of doing things like frank said "I did It MY way"

to sacrifice the gift of life given to us by our Creator by deciding/trying to defy His natural-nature-laws
is absolute insanity and intent of self-gratification instead of choosing to obey God and nature at its best...

we live in a state where we are surrounded by water on (3) sides, when there is a flag up that the
rip-currents are running, which is telling the beach-goers NOT to go into the water lest they DROWN,
then we respect and tread on Solid Ground where our steps can make a difference...

If people want to try to surmount Everest, I say kudos to them. Not many people can say they've even attempted it, nevermind succeeded in it. But I'm sure that since it requires at least eight months training, they were made well aware of the risks in advance.

As teens, we used to ride the undertow out, underwater, till it eased up enough for us to surface. We are strange beings, us humans.

I fly, have hang-glided, parachute jumped, scuba dived, raced motorcycles, rappelled, and a few other crazy things. And I think God probably got a kick out of watching me enjoy all of them.

He was sitting up in the throne room of heaven thinking, "Willie, you're lucky I like you."

Awful. They should forbid it. If you don't wear a helmet on a moped you can pay 80 euro, but if you want to climb a mountain where I don't know how many died, it's no problem.

I wish that I did more of these kinds of things. What a rush.
