Dunno.........you decide.....

The overwhelming majority of US voters think Donald Trump should release his tax returns, new polls show.
A Morning Consult poll released Tuesday found that 67% of voters thought presidential candidates should be required to release their tax returns. Just 21% did not think it should be a requirement.
On Sunday, an ABC News-Washington Post poll found that 64% of voters thought Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, should release his returns. In addition, 54% of respondents felt strongly that the Manhattan billionaire should do so. Just 31% were fine with Trump withholding the release of his tax returns.

Why? If he was doing anything wrong, the IRS would already be on him.

The audit process can take a very long time as he has many corporate interests both at home and abroad. All such cases need to be grouped so that a proper assessment can take place. Trump said he needed to wait until the audit process was complete before he could disclose his tax returns but that is not true. An audit does not stop anyone from disclosing its contents.

Maybe so but a person has a right to some boundaries and I think Trump is wise to not just let the media bulldoze him into doing something. Sets a bad precedent.

He certainly has that right though it will raise suspicions as to whether he is involved in illegal off shore accounts.

One thing more: assuming he is forced to pay additional taxes, it does not mean he initially cheated on his tax returns. It could well be that the income was improperly reported by the corporation and he is now forced to pay more for the difference in income as determined by the audit. Heck, he could even get a refund for past payments to the government.

I honestly don't care either way. However, the precedent was set a long time ago. Trump himself called on other Candidates in Election cycles past to release their returns. Just saying.....

How are Trump's income tax going to give any idea of his net worth? I would never recommend that a client undergoing an audit by any government agency release any information related to the audit to a media source. He has said that he will release the return after the audit process is complete. Wait and see.

i don't have time to look for it but I read an article that showed where Trump keeps his money. The article indicated that all his cash is kept in banks inside the United States.

I hadn't paid enough attention to notice that Trump had called for others to expose their tax returns. If that is a fact, then he has no business withholding his own.

It's a non issue. The head of the IRS is under threat of impeachment for crying out loud.

The average Joe on the street only wishes he or she could exercise the tax avoidance measures the wealthy use because they have paid tax professionals prepare their returns. Many of which know more than the auditors at the IRS.

Any returns released will have been scrubbed clean of any questionable information. There are sitting congressmen who have tax problems some who owe millions and find ways not to pay.

I don't think Trump will release his tax returns even after his audit.

It should have been a non-issue, except for the fact that Trump made it an issue by demanding others release their tax returns............he only has himself to blame for this one.

But, I do agree, because I really don't care.

Exactly,he wants to be POTUS, as far as I'm concerned he should remain a buisness man or show us why we can trust him,If he has nothing to hide.

If there is terrible information in his tax returns, Clinton is storing it up for October.

There is nothing that trump could do to gain your trust. Why are you being so dishonest about that?

I hope Trump don't release his Tax returns until he wins...just to tick-off the left-wing loons in the media
