I'm not trying to insult anyone on here. I'm simply saying that Christ wasn't bluffing when He said unless we all repent we will all likewise parish. I've lived under God's wrath before as a slave to sin and sin will make you do humiliating things so no one can tell me that Christ isn't seriously going to destroy the wicked. Because I know He is going to.

Was thinking about this questioning by Gowdy today. Why is it the libs are going so hard after the second amendment vs the 5th? If they got rid of the 5th the rest would fall like dominos.

Perhaps to them, all it means is..."I take the 5th" thinking they can go Scot free.
A little refresher course...

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Why, Sirk, I'm disappointed.

Aren't you the great big defender of Second Amendment rights?

You should be applauding armed Black Panthers activities since this is the best example of the use of the 2d Amendment we have ever seen:

Remember when they protested with arms in Texas as compared to Ferguson or Baltimore. When they did so with high powered arms there were no arrests, no cars over turned, no police cars torched, no businesses destroyed, no casualties, no violence. Why?
Hey peacenik would you ban my hunting hunting rifle that is pictured here?

Well... it's either a Ruger Mini-14 in .223, or a Mini-30 in 7.62X39...

nice rifles, now that Ruger seems to have the so-so accuracy problem worked out, from what I hear.....

What do I win???

Do you know what it is?

It is either a Ruger Mini 14 or Mini 30. I just operated on the assumption that it was the Mini 14 (.223/5.56mm) because I knew where you were going with your post that was directed at Peacenik.

When did Ruger have an accuracy problem with the Mini line? Mind you it's been over 22 or so years since I bought mine and roughly 17 years since I surrendered it (long story) but I never had a problem with accuracy.

They had a quality control issue with their barrels for a while. I had a blue one and a stainless one, but neither would group less than about 3 or 4" at 100yds. Most talk on the gun boards indicated it was a fairly common problem. I think they got it all ironed out 10 or 15 years back. IIRC... which I seldom do...

I would argue that a well put together AR would be a MUCH better varmint/small deer rifle. I've seen guys shooting dimes taped to 100yd targets and hitting the dime EVERY shot... amazingly accurate.
My bone stock entry level DPMS Oracle shoots 1" groups at 100... I was pleasantly surprised.

You can also get a pretty large array of calibers in different upper assemblies, and hunt pretty much anything in North America. Not bad for an "evil black assault rifle"....

Despite it having been posted many times, on probably every firearms forum, there seem to still be those that don't know, (or just ignore- if they're a "hater"), that Ruger shut down production of the Mini between '04 and '06 to completely re-tool the production line.

The "new" Mini-14 is a different animal from the old one.

Part of me still thinks Ruger should have just re-named the rifle, to get rid of the old "stigma" of inaccuracy.
This was a quote from a gun-board I visit.... apparently Ruger revamped them in the early 2000's....

told you not to trust my memory...

They all look very serious..... they need to work on their sense of humor....

Aside from that, Peacnik... if you think that arming yourself and standing outside voting places to try to intimidate voters is a great application of second amendment rights, you are simply a loon with zero credibility.

I have no problem with them being armed, if they are legally eligible to own firearms, but to abuse that right in trying to intimidate white voters (or brown voters, or any other color) is illegal, and they should have been prosecuted and jailed.

I really like the design/style of the Mini-14/30. I just love that type of action... like the Garand and the M-14....

If the price was a little more in line with what it was, I'd probably get one.

My issue is the price. I have an SKS that shoots the 7.62x39, and I can group about 4" or so at 100 with open sights... and it only cost me $99 when I bought it. At that time, the Mini's were about $475 or so...

It has never failed to fire. Never.
