The Telegraph released an article heavily detailing Justice Secretary Michael Gove's plot to push Johnson out of the running for PM and throw his own hat in the ring.

It's long and very entertaining, but I'll give you all the quick and dirty: Johnson was backstabbed and politically outmaneuvered by Michael Gove. Gove admits as much and claims it was because Johnson planned to squish on Brexit. His move was, so he claims, based in principle.

The maneuver was also fast and brutally efficient. The "falling action" if you will took a matter of hours.

I feel sorry for Boris but in my heart I really cant see him in the role of PM at present.. Under normal circumstances he may have been able to lead the Country but the circumstances are far from normal. We need someone who is a tough negotiator.

I was really hoping that guy would get the job..think of all the hair jokes that could have been told with him and Trump both leading the western world.

I'm disappointed too. Johnson seems like an okay guy.

I don't currently support anyone else. The Conservative Party is only my second choice in any case. I am really a UKIP
supporter but they only have one MP in Parliament.

A UKIP man? That's what I think I'd be if I were in your shoes. Right on!
