That's what he is claiming today, but if that's true, then how does he explain why he said, "...that would be a terrible day." (right after he said there is something they can do about it, "but that would be a terrible day"..):(
I'm sure he meant "If they didn't do something about it when they had the voting power to do so, it would be a terrible day for America when we were all disarmed."

"If she [Hillary Clinton] gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the second amendment people - maybe there is, I don't know."

Trump using the word "if" sets up a hypothetical scenario where she is elected president. To pretend and say "well, he meant the 2nd amendment people can vote to stop her from being elected" is just not true and is dishonest.

I'll say this much, Trump had me laughing out loud with his statement. He doesn't really advocate for violence, but he says witty comments that one would jokingly say around a bunch of friends. Of course the "maybe there is" is in reference to violent action. One could even warrant such violent action by the "2nd amendment people" in the event the Supreme Court (which Hillary nominates in Trump's hypothetical scenario) by taking away all the guns. However, I've never heard either side argue for absolutely no guns...
This is pretty dang close to that..... a FORCED buy-back program? That is simply confiscation with some monetary return. Certainly not nearly what the guns would be worth, even IF the owners wished to sell them.... which most of them did NOT.

A rose by any other name....

Which is EXACTLY the same kind of loyalty that Obama, and now Hillary both have.

It IS scary.

I have to admit that I thought Trump reached an all time low whenever he jumped into Veteran Gate like he did. I was definitely wrong. Last night he made it clear that he's willing to sink even lower. I know his intent is not to get somebody hurt, but he, a nominee, should know better than to say horrendous things like that. A president does not speak like that.

That goes for everybody else as well. We should not tolerate people advocating any kind of violence against the candidates (or anybody, really). Hopefully we will not see posts advocating that on here.
Oh my goodness !!! what nonsense ..even if he did make a joke ...Hillary has actually had people killed and you people are worried about what Trump "might" have said ..as a joke? The whole world is insane ..the 2nd amendment people need to clean house in America ...now ...what does that mean?

Sir, what Hillary has or hasn't done is irrelevant. What is relevant is that Trump is bowing himself out of the race if he's not capable of comprehending what impact his reckless words have. To be blunt, honest and down to the point:He is making a fool of himself, and yet you are defending him?

Wouldn't that mean they could put grassroots pressure on their representatives to vote against strict infringements of the Second Amendment? I do that all the time. The NRA sure does it, too.

The only people (that I've noticed) who use guns to violently compel politicians are liberals. Trump already had one assassination attempt against him, and he's not even president. And remember Reagan and the would-be assassin there? What about Lee Harvey Oswald, the Castro-sympathizer? Wasn't John Wilkes Booth a Democrat?

Anyway, if that's all Trump said, I take it to mean something entirely different than you guys do. Who here really thinks he's advocating political assassination on national television?
John Hinckley Jr was found not guilty by reason of insanity. One might argue that you have to be insane to be a Democrat, but I disagree that Hinckley's intent on assassinating Reagan was for political reasons... he was trying to gain the attention of Jodie Foster. He was insane... They recently let him out too. Crazy.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a sympathizer, but come on... I think most people understand he was the patsy... Most people understand that the "magic bullet theory" is not a satisfactory theory. One bullet cannot do all that damage.

As for you taking Trump's comment entirely differently than the majority of people, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're oblivious to Trump's innuendo. If you watch the video, the older gentleman and woman on the right give an "ooooh!!! gotcha!" expression as Trump says it. If you don't think Trump meant it in the manner a dominant majority of people do (including his own supporters), do you at least see HOW his comment can come across to everyone else?

This is why I have no choice but to vote for Trump. The dishonesty in the media, the ignorance of those that aren't aware that the PRIMARY job of the media is to get democrats elected. If they had a shred of integrity they would report this:

[h=1]HILLARY CALLS FOR OBAMA’S ASSASSINATION[/h]People seem to have forgotten this story from May 28, 2008:
Clinton Remark on Kennedy’s Killing Stirs Uproar
By KATHARINE Q. SEELYE
BRANDON, S.D. — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton defended staying in the Democratic nominating contest on Friday by pointing out that her husband had not wrapped up the nomination until June 1992, adding, “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.” . . .
Friday was not the first time Mrs. Clinton referred to the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in such a context. In March, she told Time magazine: “Primary contests used to last a lot longer. We all remember the great tragedy of Bobby Kennedy being assassinated in June in L.A.

To the Trump haters here, does this story do anything to affect your thinking? Did you even know about it? If not, why not? What does that tell you about how you are being manipulated?

Another day, another off-color comment from Trump, another scandal swept under the rug for Clinton. Nothing new under the sun. I keep pulling on the signal string, but the conductor won't pull the brake lever on this crazy train. I want off.

I don't hate anyone, but in the event my disapproval is the equivalent to hate by some Trump supporters, I'll answer these questions.

I don't have the full context of Hillary speaking about Kennedy's assassination or the linkage to her suggesting people do the same to Obama. At least, it's not present in what you posted. The title you bolded was "HILLARY CALLS FOR OBAMA'S ASSASSINATION" yet that article makes no mention of such call, only her making reference to the Kennedy assassination for reasons it took her husband so long to wrap up the nomination. That is complete and utter spin, to suggest she is calling for it. At worst, you could say Hillary is speculating a potential assassination.

Now to the bigger point I'd like to make: What Hillary did is independent of what Trump does. Lets assume Hillary explicitly said "Kill that Black, gay, Muslim man and his manly token wife too!!!" during the 2008 election, it doesn't make Trump's comment appropriate. Secretly, I find Trump's innuendo humorous... I'm a millennial with an apparent morbid sense of humor but I'm not running for the highest position in the world.

Not even entertaining anymore?
Are you at least looking forward to the debates?
I am, in a sadly contrary way.

I would agree, the linkage of Hillary and her body count is understated while Trump's joke is blown up. It appears the best defense for Clinton is a strong offense against Trump.

The thing is, Trump needs to stop giving them ammunition so that Hillary's defense falls apart.

Entertaining in a morbid curiosity kind of way. Between the news on TV that my Dad watches, the news aggregate sites I read throughout the day, and the scuttlebutt I overhear while running errands in town, the whole thing just kind of has my head spinning. I don't pretend to know spit from Crisco about politics, but this whole fiasco seems to be purposely ridiculous just to make people go bonkers.

Trump and his ego shooting his chances = not a surprise at all
Clinton so well connected she's like Teflon and nothing sticks to her = not a surprise
Obama scheming for a possible third term = wouldn't surprise me a bit given how well he follows laws anyhow

You are making my point for me. The media is today building up Trump's comment to say he is calling for Hillary's assassination.

Hillary's comments on 2008 race regarding why she is staying in could EASILY be construed as a call for a deranged, fanatical Hillary supporter to assassinate her 08 opponent.

I don't see Trump's comment as one speck worse than hers, yet the media is doing everything it can to elect her thereby ranting that Trump's comments are beyond the pale.
You don't see that?

My vote is against this hypocrisy driven by a desire to push a socialist agenda. That's why I have to vote for Trump.

Maybe Trump does need to stop making a news cycle with this stuff but they would just be finding something else to attack him on anyway...At least this way the 2nd amendment is making the news.

I guarantee they would find some other issue to attack Trump on if this was not being discussed

I'm with you there. The media is anything but objective and impartial. They focus on Trumps childish antics and virtually nothing on Hillary's skeletons in the closet. I would compare Trump to the 12 year old annoying prankster who puts a whoopy cushion under your seat, to Hillary being Don Corleone, head mafioso.

But wouldn't it be practical and pragmatic to STOP making comments like this so that he doesn't feed into the Clinton/the media's hand? We can only use the "but Hillary did this..." card so many times.

Its not irrelevant ..its absurd to make this a issue compared to Hillarys crimes .. And you people who are talking about this as if it matters are making yourselves look foolish (I suggest you guys who keep supporting Hillary and her propaganda ..go get right with God and stop having followship with evil) ..Trump who is just speaking like normal Americans speak is filling up stadiums while Hillary cant get 100 people to come hear her lies.

the 2nd amendment people need to clean house in America ...now ...what does that mean?
