EU mocked for suggesting it 'won' the Olympics*

The EU appears to have declared itself the winner by adding up the number of medals won
by its 28 member states and treating them as a single nation.

According to its calculations, 325 medals were "won" by the EU whereas the United States
have 121 and China has just 70.

Officials in Brussels may also have taken a cue from German PR firm Euro Informationen,
which made a similar claim earlier this week.

To set the record straight, the USA came first and Great Britain came second in the
medals table - you know, that little country who voted for the Brexit!

Let's do a fun little bit of math, shall we? British Commonwealth countries and former colonial possessions are now in play. The total?

319.

Now let's set that up against any other individual European culture. The French and the Spanish are contenders, but they're still smoked.

Oh oh oh. Let's do the countries with an American military presence, shall we?

Well, I don't care what the EU does

I do think that USA should send people to "fight" for their separate states though. Imagine the competition that would arise between them :D

Since your country gave the world the Beatles. Let me give your country the proper sign language for how to respond to the EU. (I hope this works. I never trust putting video on CC.)

We pretty much do already, but ONLY when it comes to bragging rights about certain things.

For example, New York has Hillary and Donald (oh no I didn't!).

That's cool.
Speaking of medals, the Norwegian Olympic committee are whining about how Norway didn't get as many gold medals "as they were supposed to." .... yeah .... *yawn* crybabies

Not that sign. LOL

Actually, the Russian swimmer held up the #1 sign when she won her heat. (
) Russian shouldn't have been in the Olympics, because of doping and Lily King, one of our swimmers, was watching in the setup room. She gave this finger:

And then she won the main event. Instead of the #1 finger, she did that sign again. It became a thing. Even Phelps did it with all four fingers when he won his fourth gold.

The finger wag replaced the I'm Number One sign in this Olympics.
