Yeah I saw this yesterday and completely agree with you. I'm not to fond of this quarterback anyways so I'm not really surprised by his actions. Not sure why people stay in this country when they have such a hatred for it.

I'm not a football fan because I find football to be mind-numbingly boring but this got on my nerves. Refusing to stand for the anthem should result in immediate ejection
This is a PR move by Kaepernick b/c he has sucked the last two years and will be the backup in San Fran if he doesn't improve. Not to mention athletes regularly pull these stunts to get attention and image/promote their brandname.....at this point this screams of desperation on his part and I don't think he really gives a crap about black people's lives what with his millions and he's only 1/2 black so all of a sudden he cares.....yea right.... where was he with Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown...yup that's right crickets........

same with that dude in Seattle Michael Bennett, he just needs to shut up and play football and stop using BLM promotions in a bid to get a new contract/monetary extension.....

Punishment for embracing his God given right to freedom of speech? You are a very dangerous man. And you talk so much garbage about Trump being dangerous. Just goes to show God brings everything to light, including your hypocrisy.

That is true, he is also allowed freedom of expression to either stand or not, to have it one way or the other is a totalitarian state in the making....the whole concept of freedom is based on choice not forced coercion....

This stunt has nothing to do with BLM or injustice.....this is pure player politics and a way for Kaepernick to get publicity and maybe even force the 49ers to trade him away due to his sultry behavior towards management and the team in general.....in other words he's pulling a TO (Terrell Owens w/eagles) of being a distraction to get his way......very savvy move although it comes across as an a-hole move to his teamates/team....

Yeah I believe this is more a publicity stunt as well. He has been struggling the last couple of years so he is trying to get some attention away from his bad play calling :)

Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. This is unacceptable. If you hate this enough disrespect the national anthem then you should leave... just another example of liberal entitlement mentality

You're 100% correct, brother. kaepernick is a punk, but he has a right to be a punk when standing with a clipboard on the football sidelines.

If it's that important to them, black athletes should put their money where their mouth is and Lobby Congress... otherwise sit down and shut up

I never liked the guy, what with all his "christian verses" tattoos of phil 4:13 etc and his demeanor of showboating, to his posing nude for sports illustrated, to his bad boy mentality....not a guy I would want any young athlete to look up to at all....I'd take Russell Wilson over this guy 10/10 times b/c of his character which is more christlike imo than Kaepernicks.....I don't care how good of a runner/deep ball Kaep throws character is what matters in this life....a person without character is an empty suit just walking around....like a hollow man....nothing inside....

maybe he better stand when he gets the opportunity.
he will probably get a lot of time to sit on the bench.

maybe it would serve well for these millionaire athletes to remember what country made them famous.
not a big paycheck for quarterbacks in Mexico.

Lol it would be ironic to be holding the clipboard out of all qb's to be Blaine Gabbert's backup.....ouch....he'll probably get booed in stadiums all across the nation.....whoever told him to do this should be fired b/c it will mess up his game/mental focus and be a distraction for himself and his team.....and of all the times to do it now right before week 1, at least Michael Bennett did it relatively early in the offseason so time can blow it over but kaepernick has just put a fire under his butt for the rest of this season lol.....

I have to stand with you on this one.

To dishonor our flag and country, and OUR FALLEN DEAD,to make a little whinny example of negativity to black youth is destructive.

How dare this little narcissist USE OUR FLAG AND FALLEN DEAD ,as a political pawn.

How dare he in this time of racism by BOTH SIDES,use his influence,to foster black youth to such a low,low character.

He should be removed from play. That stunt is abuse big time. He should find a perfect country to go live in. One where he can lead youth in racism.

NOT MY GREAT COUNTRY.

THE MAN IS JUVENILE,AND FOSTERING BLACK YOUTH IN A BAD DIRECTION.

Get rid of him

This guy is a has-been athlete who is now just a distraction from the program. I would cut him from the team.

I don't think you understand what is going on with black youth.

They don't need ANY FURTHER egging on into hating police and us evil white devils.

Police groan when blacks are the ones they stop in traffic violations.

The MAJORITY of blacks now feel so "victimized" ,roll eyes, that the officer gets disrespected and verbally abused, and depicted as racist.

They can no longer do their job.

Enter this punk using our fallen dead to pour gasoline on the deal.

EXTREMELY DESTRUCTIVE TO THIS NATION.

It is a bad call for him to sit on the side lines acting like a spoiled two year old. I would drop his contract and kick his butt of the field while everyone is watching. How ever this is happening more and more. I have seen other people be defiant when it comes to the national Anthem. I guess it is just a new thing that will continue to go on. I would personally help him pack his crap so he can go live in another country where he felt more comfortable. The reality is that we have gotten to a point now that free speech free rights to this and that are taking over and it has gotten out of hand. It boils down to having no respect at all. I do not think there are many people left in this world that have an ounce of respect. This younger generation is growing up to be a bunch of spoiled, self- centered, pieces of work. This problem will only get worse until we have someone come into offices of power and put their foot down and say if you don't like it leave. All these people do not seem to complain when they spend their American money in American stores. They do not have a problem using the American system when they need it. It really burns me if your going to be racist against America then you best not try to use our American system to sustain your comfy life here. I would be putting people on the deport bus quick just saying. let these defile people go live in the poorest countries in the world and suffer awhile then they may see what they really had and will never get back. If i was president I would have a program set up to deport every disrespectful person the same day see ya by do not come back.

I think if you're choosing to live in this country then you have an obligation to at least show some respect to the flag and anthem. He obviously has no problem making millions upon millions of dollars here in America. If social issues really bothered him, he would help make a change rather than pose nude in ESPN's body issue magazine.

The day care generation coming of age in a nut shell. 10 kids pining for the attention of one frazzled babysitter and they learn the only way to get attention and feel some sort of connection is to act out.

Every sport every public avenue will always have a dirt bag being defiant in public to try to make a statement. Personally someone will give him a Godly message someday with a fist or two. Or a word or two you can not be that famous and do something defile like that with out getting back lash from people. But God will judge his actions in the end and he is going to have to pay the price for his defiant acts.
