This isn't about trust in police. It's about subversion and creating violence and chaos. The criminals and thugs perpetuating this violence and their politically driven backers need to be held accountable to our laws.

The "great uniter" could stop this in his tracks. But he is smiling at the division he has created.

I think we all know the honest truth is that many people just want to riot and loot.

There's not a reason in the world that both sides cannot just stand back quietly and allow a few days of investigation find out the facts in ANY case... and ACCEPT the evidence.

That last part is very important. Liberals have no problem accepting a cop being wrong, but they refuse to believe one of their crack-dealing thieves could possibly pull a gun on a cop.

In all but one of the high profile cases in the past few years, (Travon, Brown, etc.) the truth was that the authorities did right, and the perpetrator was in the wrong..... but certain people just cannot accept that.

The thing about cameras is you have to watch everything in context. People can take footage on their cellphones and just post parts that make it look like someone has done the wrong thing....You need the full scenario to truly know. People also can see what they want to see. It could be good for body cameras, but it also could be bad if the videos get out and people tear them apart and just spread certain parts...

Ironically we have a president who is making the inner cities look like the West Bank.

I trust the police as much now as I always have. This thugery is politically motivated and reinforced. Racism has not only become an indu$try but a utility to invoke the masses under it's spell to carry out said thugery willfully. Sad days here and ahead if the Lord tarries.

No, I will not wear a camera.

I often CC. I'm seriously thinking of getting some type of body camera for my own protection if I ever have to use it.

The police are by and large decent people. The problem is the political establishment who are pitting class against class, race against race and so on.... against each other. People need to ask themselves....do I really wanna do away with the constitution and rule of law? It's an ugly scenario without it. IMO

IMO the body cameras are a win/win for law enforcement.

One of the departments not far from me have been using them for a while now and they have said that complaints against officers have dropped by a large percentage which saves the department manpower and money because they don't have to dedicate as many IAD officers to investigating these cases. Presumably some officers who were misbehaving before are now behaving, but also the number of persons trying to get a good cop in trouble with false allegations has dropped because they know the body cam will prove them to be liars.

The cameras offer officers a good defense (if they are in the right) for use of force issues because the camera shows everything from the officer's point of view (rather than some citizen's viewpoint who sees what the cop can't or can't see what the cop does).

Cameras will disappoint a lot of people who want to riot. Case in point:

The family was shown the video by police today in Charlotte. And the only thing they said when questioned afterward by reporters was. "No comment." They were screaming bloody murder before. One has to assume they didn't like what they saw.

Not to mention he hasn't said one word about the rioters nearly killing innocent people in Charlotte. What's ironic is these thugs want justice, so their idea is to go and commit crimes for said justice. People wonder why they're not working, I think maybe we might have that answer.

To steal a line from Men in Black: a person is smart, people are dumb...I don't think it takes much maybe one/two instigators in a mob mentality arena. What if nobody showed up for these "exercises" of rage?

Not acting the fool could also restore trust in the po po. 99.9999999% of people who comply with cops' instructions go on their merry way, happily, healthy and productively.

An onboard vehicle dash cam may be something to invest in as well if you get pulled over by police you'll have something, even recording on your phone is a good idea depending on if you can get it to work in time while the cop comes to the car door....then again they may just shoot first thinking your phone is a gun? crazy times nonetheless....but I think a dash cam would be a good investment and point it to your driver window...

On the video that the wife, herself, took, at least eight times the police are clearly heard ordering him to "Drop the gun."

And she is repeatedly screaming at her husband "Don't do it, Keith. Don't do it."

The wife taking a video rather than, oh I don't know, putting it down and really talking sense to her husband. Fools!

Fingerprints of the victim on a loaded gun at the scene might disappoint those who want to spill blood.
