So, in a few states here in the US something has been going around that some "clowns" are chasing down teens and children with weapons.

It has freaked a lot of people out :p

Currently today it came to my state and a bunch of school's are under lock down because students are getting texts saying these clowns will shoot them.

Has anyone else heard of this?

I read earlier this morning, that Reading, Ohio had many schools on lock down, because a man in a clown suit had attacked a woman and choked her, and then he threatened kids in the local middle and high schools. But I hadn't heard about the emails or texts or anything electronic like that. I'll see if I can find the link to that article....

Yeah, a bunch of kids at school are getting threatening texts now.
Schools are in chaos :p

They're remaking Stephen King's "It" in 2017. Hopefully this is some sick promotional, either way a clown is about to get shot out of a cannon.

i just read in my local news that someone created a facebook account with a clown threatening to hurt people at the high schools.

What I find kinda mind boggling is the fact these people aren't being caught... Clowns don't mix in with people. They kinda stand ut. The fact they're spreading countrywide kinda doesn't make any sense to me.

On YouTube there are 'practical jokers' that dress up in clown costumes holding weapons. Often times they fake a murder scene for people to walk up on, then chase the people walking up. Somewhat similar.

We have idiots doing that in my town. Yesterday a guy chased a little girl for a couple of blocks. Someone called the police and they caught the creep. I'd like to punch that jerk in the face for doing that to her.

There's one on instagram around Louisville. I'm not on it but I've headed of it. Just some weird creepers dressed up to scare

Yeah, obviously.
It has literally sent the state into chaos.
There are police all the way to my apartment, and at school and a bunch of school like I said, are locked down.
They're making announcements about it over the speaker in my school

i don't think it is a promotion...it may be people 'inspired' by the movies and novel though...
