I'm hearing of a lot of Christians turning their vote into statements by writing in other candidates that will not win. 1. Will these statements be heard? and 2. What will be gained IF your write in votes are heard?

Looking back, I'm thinking the three worst Presidents in History may well have been Taft, Carter and Obama.

How sad is it that those three are STILL better than the two choices the Dems and Repubs have offered up this year?

I voted for Obama both terms. Feels weird now that I dont like anything about him : p

Fun fact, my very first vote ever was for Ron Paul in the Republican primary election. I voted for him cuz my little brother said I should, had all these reasons that at the time sounded good to me. Dont feel like Id do it again now though : p

I dont believe Ill ever feel passionate about any presidential candidate ever, tbh : p My plan is to vote for the one I think isnt as bad as the other. I would never vote for Hilary for anything ever. Theres a few things I like about Trump, and on top of that I think most of the arguments against him are childish, so I will be voting for him this year.

hmm to vote or not to vote? considering both candidates are horrendous choices for presidency neither of them showing any kind of sign leadership and high moral and will likely be the final stone that makes America fall I say there's no need to vote either way we get the bad end of the deal

Been watching FoxNews here at work and some of CNN. Yeeesssshhhh I hate politics but am aware it is a necessary evil in an unsaved but moralistic/unmoralistic society. I would not want to live in Saudi Arabia or China or any other country where they don't allow the regular people to make decisions about government.

I already knew and know Trump is an unsaved man and have met those kind of men before (even some Christian men sad to say) who treat women as objects on the one hand and people on the other hand. But even so it was disappointing and disgusting hearing the tape tonight of Trump saying those things.

After mentally adjusting to the the initial disgust of what he said, it was also disgusting to hear so many other people horrified since years before Clinton did more than get caught on tape.,None of them were "horrified" then. Clinton was doing those things all along while IN the Whitehouse and Hillary condemned the women and not her husband.

She didn't have outrage enough to tell her husband he wasn't fit to be in office. AND I remember back then when people found out Clinton lied and did have the affairs they didn't care. They said what he does in his personal life doesn't make a difference when he is president. But now the whole thing has done a switch-a-roo. There is a major double standard in our media for sure.

For the reasons that others posted already., I'll be voting for Trump just to keep Hillary out. I believe our vote counts for something or these candidates AND the media would not be fighting soooo hard to get the public to vote for their candidate. I would not waste my vote on a write in candidate since it would take away from the votes that were needed to keep Hillary out.

My son was injured in Iraq and he and his wife were both Marines and used to be very patriotic. But now they have no interest in voting. They have NO faith in the government system and believe it doesn't matter. They have a much different viewpoint of our government and how it works now.

So although I disagree about not voting I do understand why they feel that way. They are young too and have been through war and seen death first hand like many of us have never seen. And they saw it at such a tender age. And even I stopped voting for a few years. But later began again and feel it is an important right we have as Americans.

And also., if it didn't matter.... how come the media and politicians are soooooooo concerned about the public when it's time to get re-elected??? Think about it folks!! Something is being missed by many people imo. So get out there and VOTE. IMO.
:D

i'm so sorry!! is he okay?

Hi notmyown., Thanks for asking. He has a traumatic brain injury and things associated with that and the other issues with having been ground forces in a war. But he also has his wife who is a nurse along with his 2 children he walks to school and he is very involved with his family at his house.

He stays home most of the time last I heard. He has not forgotten Jesus so even in the rough times his mind goes to Jesus for the questions he can't get an answer to. He is confused about the deeper reasons of why this happened to him.

My prayer is soon he will find his way to trusting Jesus with his life. There is a lot of fear going on that he can't share with anyone. A "big strong Marine" feels he can't be weak so it is even harder to be a man who has an injury who can't talk about it with his loved ones. Only Jesus can rescue a mind messed up in that kind of confusion. So we keep praying.

i'd like to pray, too, if that's all right? we have a military family, and many, many friends in the military. i really get that military mindset, especially those leathernecks/devildogs/jarheads. ;) (i could go on!)

if you don't think it's too weird or intrusive, would you PM me his name? just his first name! lol
i like praying for a person by name, but of course, i don't need to. God knows his name very well. :)
