This was inspired by the Streams of Consciousness and Thoughts thread in another forum...

Post any news blips, quips or slips, and all your random or not so random thoughts about the news here... :)

All media lies. There is NEVER ANYTHING good or positive in the news, therefore I do not watch it. I don't even have cable tv.. or even a tv set.. lol

Everything we think we know about this world system is either slightly or completely obscured by masks. But the masks are being removed at an ever increasing rate.

or are they?

I'm hoping marijuana becomes legal in california (its on the ballot right now). I never smoked it and don't plan to, but I think it would be a huge boost to the economy here and frankly... people here seriously need to lighten up! (no pun intended )

Nah! It's legal where I live and we've got nothing but problems because of it. I went to a friend's house for her sons first birthday and they were pushing everyone to smoke it. Let's just say I walked out and threw that friendship away.

Plus I think it would make people more crazy haha!

Now that's a scenario I bet not many thought of when legalizing was such a great idea.

What?! That's crazy. When I was a teen my friends smoked it but they only did it when they felt like getting high and they never tried to push me into doing it. I actually tried it once and it gave me a very quick headache.. never again.

I'm hoping that CA and a number of other states that have the issue on their ballots this year pass it also. Regardless of the tax benefits to those states (which is immaterial to me or my life) it will slow the flow of persons coming to Colorado just because they can smoke legally. Our homeless population has exploded because people are fool enough to move here without even a prayer of finding work solely so they can get baked without worrying about going to jail.

Political news in South Africa at the moment is like a bad soap opera. There are literally things happen every few hours at the moment.

Judging by your choice of Presidential candidates I reckon legalizing Marijuana is the last thing you need your all out of your heads already.

If there was a better candidate than Trump I would vote for him or her, but there isn't... and I'm not going to just sit idly by and let Hillary win the presidency without a fight.. and I'm not going to waste my vote on any third party candidate either.

Mark Twain said "Those who do not read the news are uninformed. Those who do are misinformed". Sounds like a guy who was informed.
