The election is proof that "U can manifest the future with your thoughts" is false

I just had this realization that the oh-so-popular new age concept of manifesting things into your life by merely believing/imagining they will come was proven false by the election.... Half the country imagined and believed that Hillary would win. They even got to vote on it... yet even with all that confident knowing... they lost. I think that proves without a doubt that manifesting is a false concept....

But I know it says in the bible that we are supposed to expect and believe we will receive the thing we pray for (Matthew 21:11)... but that is different because we are relying on the power of God to make it happen... and not relying on "the universe" to "manifest it into our lives"..

But your thoughts are the sum of your character and a character reaps a destiny.

Proverbs 4:23 NLT

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Our thoughts or mindset affect the status of our heart so I guess the new age concept has some truth.

Asking in Jesus' Name is essential. Those dorks aren't Christian therefore their desires are null and void.

But that's not talking about manifesting things like a new car or an election outcome, that's talking about becoming disheartened/jaded/hard-of-heart.

The desire of your heart was granted by God and manifested in the election outcome. My heart desired for a specific car and it manifested. Guard your heart for it not to lose heart.

Our subconscious mind is very powerful. I believe it is greatly influenced by the Holy Spirit. I remember that there was someone I desired but I was not really conscious about it due to the circumstances that it seemed impossible to manifest. I thought I already forgot about that desire until he showed up in my life out of the blue. It is proof that God could connect the dots and grant your desire if He wants to even if we think it is impossible and it is mind blowing.

Once I knew a female missionary in Africa.

Weekly she took food, and bibles, into a very poor area, to minister to people the world had forgotten.

Many of us prayed for her, and she prayed over her own ministry continually... she loved her ministry, and the people.

There couldn't have been more positive prayers, and positive thoughts going into her ministry.

Then one day I got a call... a weeping voice said my friend had just been brutally raped, and murdered... in the dirty streets of Soweto... where she ministered.

God has his own plans... sometimes hard plans... plans we cannot understand... plans that come with rivers of tears.

How silly to think we can just "wish good things" or "pray happy thoughts", and undue the manifest providence of God.

God often answers our prayers with great blessings just because he loves us...
but the God of the universe has his own plans...
and we are only a tiny piece of HIS will.

We are only a tiny piece of HIS will...
we are very foolish if we ever get that statement reversed.

subtract the estimated 3,000,000 votes by ILLEGALS + the dead people, comotose folks, those who voted twice...and some got caught voting twice for the madame...and probably not

voter ID is needed ... there was also a petition being circulated to allow illegals to vote and his highness stated publicly illegals should vote and he encouraged them to vote

not for Mr Trump either

it's a sad sad reflection on desperation to have your deception come to pass

in this case, the expected coronation of an unfit and very dangerous person

It is like taking someone in from the street. Feeding them, giving them clothes, caring for them, and then one day, when you fail to give them even more, they will kill you for being so mean to them.

thats because they and you are taking believing the promises of God out of context. there is truth behind believing what God says and receiving it.

What I was thinking as well, however taking these promises slightly out of context...isn't that how we got the WOF movement?

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35 Women received their dead raised to life again:
and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

people who talk about believing or "manifesting" really like this
part but forget this section.

its crazy but i go to a WOF church, Rhema, and i go to the bible college they have and they hammer us on taking the word out of context like that. i have 3 classes this term all on taking it out of context. pastor and the teachers all say, there has been a lot of damage done by the ignorance of a few people grabbing some scripture in the WOF and going off the deep end.

I didn't mean to offend. I know saying WOF is like saying Charismatic, and what it means to me is not what it means to others. That said, my experience with both have left hundreds of folks ship wrecked spiritually. But that was just my experience, I would not try to lump every WOF, or Charismatic group into those categories.

no offense taken brother! i know what you are saying tho, i have seen it in class, people not understanding what is being taught. i was talking to a teacher and he said it is the saddest thing when you talk about how faith has gotten you "money" and you get more amen's, then talking about faith getting you salvation...
