Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Also wanted to point out the significance of the OP here, though the UN may not really have the power to enforce this order, the fact remains that the nations did gather together and declared that the Jews did not have a right to the land.

Am I the only one who sees the importance of this? I mean I know there are some people out there who believe that we Christians were actually Israel all along and that land can mean any group of Christians anywhere, but this should certainly mean something to those who follow the bible.

Can you post the link to the UN resolution where the nations gather together and said that Jews do not have a right to the land?

(In fact they did not have any right, it was given to them by the UN in 1948, but where is it said now, after they got the land?)

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

President Trump has stated that he will move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This will place recognition of the capital of Israel is Jerusalem. What do you think will happen in the Arab world when that happens?
I dont know.

UN granted Jerusalem to both Israel and Palestina in 1948. No side should usurp the city as "their own".

I realize you may be intending a joke, but this is exactly the attitude the whole "Rapture" hoax fosters and perpetuates. When in actuality, we may be asked to keep on working, daily, to build the kingdom for another 100,000 years yet.

Here are some news outlets who have reported on the vote on Israel and its rights over Jerusalem-

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

So by "land" you meant Jerusalem only?

Yes, Jerusalem belongs to two nations/states. Jerusalem and Palestine. From 1948. Israel ignores that and made it the capital and try to rule the whole city.

These UN resolutions criticize that.

You've outlined it's importance, I agree. Just read Psalm 83. Trying to divide Israel, or Jerusalem will be the event God steps in and large.

Jerusalem is "the land", yes. And the nations have voted to divide up "the land". I strongly believe this is all leading to prophecy. The only way I can see it not being so is if those who believe in replacement theology are really right, and that God never cared about the land that He gave to Abraham and his descendants after all.

Also I strongly doubt that God feels that Israel "belongs to the Palestinians", but I know that you arent supportive of Israel, so I guess if youd rather choose mans law over Gods, go for it. But I dont agree with you.

The city belongs to the King of Kings. It is where He will rule from. It will not belong to Islam in any way, shape, or form.

If you know something about history, you know that Jerusalem belonged to islam many times. And sometimes to roman Church. And then again to islam. And this repeated several times.

Jerusalem is not the whole land of Israel.

Nations in 1948 voted to give some land to Jews and Jerusalem to both Jews and Palestines.

Now they repeated this again in new resolutions, because Israel still ignores it.

You can believe that this is in some prophecy, I have nothing against it. I am just stating the facts.

I am supportive of truth and I dont care if it comes from the USA, Russia, China, EU, Israel or Palestine.

I am not "for" anybody. When Israel does things right, I am for him. When Israel does things wrong, I am against him.

I am actually very often on the side of Israel. Because Israel is mostly right.

This thread is full of wrong information, thats why I got involved.

The dome will eventually be leveled because that is the location Israel is going build the temple.

The Dome of the Rock will come down but not because Israel will build a temple there. Dan 9:27 specifically states that the temple remains desolate even until the wrath comes.

Your saying. It can be split 100 times again in the future. We do not know.

The heavenly Jerusalem will not be ever split. And this one is our mother.

"Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.
But the Jerusalem that is above
is free, and SHE is our mother."

Gal 4:26

27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

I dont really see how this shows there will be no temple? I read this as the abomination will cause desolation, and not that the mount itself is desolate. I dont understand what youre saying here.

The nations will gather against Israel in the last days. The western wall will be defiled. The daily prayers there will be taken away. 1,335 days later Christ returns.

...and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate...

Because of their many sins (the Jews killing their Messiah) he (GOD) will make their temple desolate.

...even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The temple shall remain desolate even until the consuming fire of God's wrath is poured out on the desolate (Sons of Hagar - see Isa 54:1, Gal 4:22-31).

You see since the Jews rejected their Messiah, God allowed the Muslims to erect their Dome of the Rock and Al-aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount so that the Jews could never erect another temple. God WILL NOT allow the Jews to have their way and re-institute animal sacrifices and Levitical Law. Not happening!! That would be giving in to them and He is not going to do that. Instead the Jews will recognize and worship their Messiah when He returns.

Just a question - do you really believe that sacrifices and offerings were not ended in the 1st century AD?

Jesus was the last and perfect sacrifice. The old sacrifices were put to the end.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

How I understand it, Obama would need to veto (or vote against) it before his term is up to stop the initiative to divide Jerusalem. What'd you think he'll do, or not do?
What Obama does or does not do will make no difference.
Jerusalem will not be divided because Israel will not allow it.
It they try, the IDF will destroy them.
