One down.

One to go. (The House.)

Trump may well be able to sign it on his first day!

Yippee! (Also funny since it was the Democrats who created the new law that says a basic majority can pass a bill.)

I could not be happier to hear this. But it's still just a small step in a long process. We need a health care system. Just not the perverted mess that wicked man help institute.
The best (and cheapest) system would be to heavily regulate what we eat, but even I would not endorse that.

Get ready for an even worse system.

The government still wants total control. It's in their nature to corrupt every thing they do.

Unless I miss my guess, I think you will find the new healthcare system very good....Trump is dedicated to making it better for the AMERICAN not african-American, Hispanic American, etc. Just American people. All of us. Which is better than I cansay for the liberal socialist democrats.

The Republicans outlined a plan in June 2016. Go to > https://abetterway.speaker.gov/_assets/pdf/ABetterWay-HealthCare-PolicyPaper.pdf Sure, many details need to be worked out, but it is clear that competition between insurance companies across state lines will lower costs (competition does that -govt creates monopolies), portability of the plan is essential, a high-risk pool will be created, and most importantly the Republican plan, I feel confident, will provide for you to choose a doctor to your liking - the promise Obama failed to deliver. Also from all I have read and heard the quality of care will increase because the Obama "one-size-fits-all" has not worked. The Obamacare exchanges have failed as insurance companies have pulled out. Premiums and deductibles have increased dramatically. I am confident the Republicans will deliver on their promises and whatever we get will be better than the con job that Obama care has been. Pray for this important piece of legislation and that God will bless the U.S.A. through it.

yes! awesome how my wife will now lose her insurance :)

It's going to be better than Obama care. I can't afford insurance. A friend of mine's premium is going up twice as much. TrumpCare will trump Obamacare. :)

Not sure how I feel about this. I think I'll keep my opinion about this matter in reserve until I see the plans for the replacement. Certainly some solution exists that can provide basic healthcare to all Americans without bleeding them dry in the process to pay for it, but I don't know enough about the ins and outs of healthcare to know what might work.

Under obama care my cost went from under $400 a month to over $1000 and my deductible went from $500 to $8500.
Just let it go back to what it was, please.
There is no reason for a person to go without health care.
Go the the ER.
They can not turn you away.

John Ashcroft screwed around with a law passed by Congress that STILL causes me pain -- literally. Trust that I do NOT trust either side.

Oh, I think you're guess has been missed already. Government can't figure out how to fix healthcare without having the one thing they care the most out of life get affected -- their re-election. Apparently veterans and people with chronic pain don't count as "Americans" for either side of the aisle. Politicians make decisions according to polls and bad journalism. Not facts.

The only thing I have hope for in this is my medigap insurance won't continue to go up exponentially each year. I've kept tally. Once Obamacare went into full effect,I had to drop fairly-decent insurance because it cost me $171.80 a month. (My income has been between $925-$950 in the last 5 years.) I took the $7 a month plan. The next year, it went to $32. Then $42. And, as of this month, $62. My copays have doubled too. My coverage has been cut in half. I'm even afraid to get a blood test, because I'm only allowed one a year and each doctor wants me to get one for whatever they're treating me for. I think a diabetic is supposed to have more than one blood test per year.

I don't think The Donald will fix this. He merely won't keep the same mess we're in.

Do some comparative shopping. Time and time again, with a lot of research, I can find options that aren't the greatest, but it's better than the choices the government hands over on their sites.

And, if this is about a "pre-existing condition?" Too late now! She's covered by insurance. The only time an insurance company won't take someone with a pre-existing condition is if they had no insurance before. If they had insurance before, (and Obamacare certainly made people who could afford insurance pay for it, so it is likely now), then they can't turn the person down just for changing plans. (One of many things the journalists lie about.)

They can't. It doesn't mean they don't. And that's only for public hospitals.

It also doesn't mean you won't be facing a bill bigger than your mortgage by the time it's over.

At this point in time, the vote is not much more than symbolic.

Until Trump takes Office, votes in the Senate/House are not much more than symbolic.

just saying

I'm most likely going to lose mine too. Whatever the government can't keep me healthy, that was my right given to me by God. This is scripture that brings to mind what we can do if we put God first, and all will be added to us, and to not worry or give up. Luke 18: 1-8 Parable of the Persistent Widow

18 One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. 2 “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. 3 A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ 4 The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, 5 but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. 7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man[a] returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?" ........... Keep vigilant in repentance and prayer and God will take care of the rest :) You don't need a politician to take care of your wife, God will. Remind me to do the same, lol.
