of course they are gonna say that. They called trump a rapist. They called his son a future date raper. The left is full of lies.
Only one thing worse than a left winger....one that claims Jesus......it is a statistical impossibility to be a Christian and hold left wing dogmas

Saudi Arabia was behind 911. Funny how they're not on the ban list

So if there was ban on Christians will there be a massive protest from liberals and the rest of America to fight for our rights? I highly doubt it. I never understood why the left hates Christianity so much but support Islam and Muslims to the fullest?
Because the left is outta their minds and not too bright!

Did you know Trumps mum was Scottish and his dad German.
Both immigrants to the US.

I have a question, what if someone from one of the banned countries,
went to another country and gained citizenship. Syrian refugees to Germany for
example and then they migrated to the US? Would they be classified as a Syrian
immigrant or a German Immigrant?

I suppose we will have to wait and see on that one, I thought people had to jump
through hoops anyway already to get a green card?

SO WHAT.....neither are known for...

RAPING little children
SAWING of heads with dull knives
Having sex with goats and dead bodies
Drinking camel urine
blowing up churches
popping Christians like dogs in a ditch
carry 5 to 6 diseases eradicated in this country

THIS IS EXACTLY the type of reasoning that leads to massive terrorist attacks

then whats next is a purge, i have a friend that fears this, hate got trump into office, when is it common since to say hey one race religion creed color is doing this when in all of society its a few that can be held responsible...when the minority of people think this and they get into power then it becomes over-welling bad because this is not the thinking of everyone, the electoral college is a joke, one man/woman one vote.....even thought it can be argued that there was illegal votes that took place...the united states will never be the same...this man will set back race relations for decades, since when is it Christian to not look after the innocent, God is not this way, Jesus embraced the scum and Matthew 3:18 says something to the fact that it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick...in my interpretation, it is not the believers in Christ that need Jesus but it is the ones that do not believe that needs him most, we are denying those that seek refuge and from my understanding knowing Jesus is not only knowing his word, the devil knows the bible almost as good as anyone, but it is a product of those deeds, of your deeds that show Jesus....but then hey I'm no one.

because when islam decided to wage war against the west they knew this is exactly what you would say. I believe there is a standing army inside our borders waiting for the agreed upon time. Unfortunately, as this evil religion has already shown us on countless occasions...they have no qualms about using women and children for their cannon fodder. Ultimately they want you on your knees.

What happened to holding an individual responsible......If I go into a church and do God awlful things isn't it I that have done them and not my family. Or does that get thrown out the window because on my way to jail I say i am at war without my family present. Do you assume I'm speaking on behalf of anyone in my family?

Doesn't really answer the question though does it.

I was asking because while Trump may wish to ban people from 7 countries, it would be
impractical to ban people from every country, especially the oil/gas producing countries.
I don't suppose he will ever ban them even if they were 100% for Isis. Lol

Unless the US builds an entire wall around the entire country and bans all people from
entering and leaving, then it's unlikely all terrorist attacks could be prevented.
Even if it did that, there will always still be loonies within the country itself. (Every
country has its loonies!).

I don't disagree with vetting people throughly at all, but one person cannot say I don't want
you in my adopted country, when they have already been granted legal access rights and have
done nothing wrong.

One person can't just stomp their feet and make all the laws by themselves - they became a
law unto themselves and that is far too much power for one person to have. Instead of a democracy
you end up with a dictatorship. I hope for the sake of the American people that the US doesn't become a
dictatorship. I doubt it will but Trump seems to relish the idea of that.

I dont disagee completely with some of his sentiments and I wish the UK was better at vetting people
and we adopted something along the lines of the Australian model, but the way Trump is
charging in with little thought or consideration of the impact, is suggestive of a person with
narcissistic tendencies.

On a more positive note for the rest of us, Trump's clamp down could potentially open up great
business opportunities for the rest of the world! Companies will think twice about moving to the
US if there could potentially be problems moving staff and executives in and out of the country.

Google has already expressed concerns and Trump has also threatened other companies
about outsourcing their production lines. Boeing. Toyota. General Motors.

You have to start somewhere. Doing something is better then nothing. The psychological benefits alone make doing this a benefit that will produce tangible results.

On another positive note - at least we get to read some other news which
doesn't involve the Brexit. I'm sick to death of reading about the Brexit. :)

I find it an amazing and amusing coincidence, that America and England, so often inter-woven together over the last 3 centuries in world events are both taking a our nation first attitude at exactly the same time.

Think Barrack Obama.

How is isolating wannabe immigrants on an island more humane than preventing them to come over in the first place ? If Trump had given notice (say a month or so) of his intent, would it be unrealistic to think that many undesirables would have tried to "beat his deadline" for entry ? I think they would have. No matter how this issue was approached, fault would be found somewhere. Trump's sending a message ... a strong one. Those already properly screened won't have an issue ... except for a few month delay before returning to status quo for them. The undesirables and ill-intentioned already in the U.S. now know that new recruits won't be joining them anytime soon. It's a tough stance. But so are the consequences of not doing anything.

I must have missed the part of the Bible where it tells us to only help Christians
Don't complicate things by bringing Christianity into the debate. Trump land is a black and white place where everyone wears either black hats or white ones as in the old westerns.

This has nothing to do with immigrants and everything to do with ISIS. (Yes, I admit many people from the 7 countries involved did get caught.)

But if you look carefully at the countries, notice the ones that are missing.

Indonesia - the world's largest Muslim population and no terrorists
Saudi Arabia - lots of Wahbi terrorists, but hey, oil rules
Jordan
Turkey
Afghanistan

And others! You Americans should be happy that someone is finally dealing with terrorism in the Middle East. I sure wish Canada was!
May I safely assume all the students in Canada's universities aren't Canadian? Y'all do what we all do -- accept students from around the world? And, sure, those students have to be vetted first. Imagine being one of those wealthy students coming back from winter break for second semester and not being able to because the doors were closed in Canada.

Isn't part of the reason countries accept students from around the world, so the students get a sampling of our culture? We just put out a noticed:
ALL YOU PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS! DO NOT TRESPASS!

As a Republican living in a city of Democrats, I really don't like the message. I do get there are dangerous people in those countries. (And why isn't Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan on that list, for crying out loud?) Not all of them! And we vetted the ones we're kicking out now! They were the not-dangerous ones already.
