I attended a Christian law school. One professor went so far as to make an ethical case for lying. Couldn't believe my ears.

Sorry, but lawyers ARE taught to lie in law school.

That is just verifiable fact.





That does not mean all lawyers lie.
But it DOES mean they are taught that lying is ok.
This is the thinking which permeates the training of the profession.

I have provided evidence enough over a number of times talking to you and you ignored what was given in favour of fabricating your own stories despite what was plain as day. If you are going to deny your lie that I claimed not to use the word criminal, for instance, when I did no such thing, and you repeatedly refuse to acknowledge your error, what is the point? You stick to your falseness while pretending to be honest and many see through your ruses, like your oft repeated bleats about being negative and speaking pejoratives, my goodness, in your books it seems to be a sin only when others do it, for you do it often enough despite your censure of others. My sister graduated law school and I've talked to her about it before, she says it's not true. I've read all her textbooks, notes, and lectures. I haven't seen anything to encourage deception.

True. Students were not "taught" to lie. But at least half of the graduates did not go on to practice law. Some went into politics where deception is far more evident.

Law students are not taught to lie. They are taught "selective silence" and allow their opposing counselors to ascertain pertinent facts if needed in court:
