Poll: Trump approval rating at new low

Politics

(CNN)President Donald Trump's approval rating reached a new low Saturday, according to a poll from Gallup, as the new administration has struggled to find its footing nearly a month into the term. The daily tracking poll found that just 40% of Americans approve of President Trump's job as president so far, compared to 55% who say the disapprove. The negative 15-point spread is the highest recorded in the poll since Trump took office January 20. Trump's approval rating has hovered in the mid-to-low 40s since the second week of his presidency, but the new poll suggests growing dissatisfaction with his performance amid the chaotic rollout of his controversial travel ban and a series of divisive ...Read more

Not surprising. People haven't learned to NOT trust the 'alphabet' news agencies yet. For example...they go on a witch hunt about Flynn but Hillary, Rice, Clapper get a pass for selling state secrets and lying to congress. Lol. Oh and lets not forget Lynch and her Tarmac meeting with ol' Bill talking about the grandkids and whatnot. If you haven't opened your eyes yet... I don't think you ever will.

If O'Reilly aired the segment on Trump, I missed it. However, I did find this (after a bit of searching)

FOUND HERE:

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll - Rasmussen Reports

EXCERPT:

Wednesday, February 15, 2017
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 37% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -1. (see trends).
Regular updates are posted Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).
With the president’s temporary refugee and visa ban tied up in court, the State Department has been speeding up the entry of refugees from Syria, Iraq and other Middle Eastern and African countries into the United States. We’ll tell you what voters think of that at 10:30.

Bill O'Reilly has that same spirit,Geraldo Rivera tried to speak on the hypocracy but Bill's blinders were secure, keeping any truth from being noticed.

it's just as easy to cherry-pick favorable polls as it is to cherry-pick unfavorable.

how about look at an average? \\\

:)

But, would it not be true that IF the sample Polls are tainted, any Average found would also be tainted?

:)

Trump was getting trounced by Hilary in the election according to the "polls" ... yet he won and the results proved those specific "polls" tainted. So yes ... the average found would be tainted simply because those polls directed at a liberal audience weren't a true reflection of the voters en masse.

One thing I have noticed though is that the Approval Ratings are almost a mirror image of the percent of votes he got in the Election...........hmm.......... :)

Poll number do not mean much to me anymore. They did not with Obama and don't now.
I prefer to talk about performance or lack of it.
People are so polarized and dug in today that generally all poll numbers reflect is if your party likes what your doing or not.

Ooh!

A math question. Yes, but to a smaller degree. There are methods to identify sources of high variability too, when you aggregate the samples.

Big problem tho is that we don't know the sampling methods of any of the polls - they may all be biased.

It's also possible that neither the Gallup nor the Rasmussen poll is inaccurate, that they just happened to poll samples of the population that were more pro Trump and less pro Trump. This is all just statistics and the only way to remove variability is to sample the entire population in a completely unbiased way.

Polls will never be accurate......every one of them will be tainted, bias and twisted in one way or another depending on which flavor of politician you like to "lick" (YEAH I KNOW) .....those for Trump will be favorable, those who despise Trump will be unfavorable no matter what he does and or how successful his policies are.....those on the fence can be swayed by news articles, bias media outlets and inaccurate reporting......

At the end of the day.....EVERYONE is an expert and to be honest...no one has the right to flap their lips until his 4 years are done and the results of his policies have begun to be seen......

Not that we cannot agree or disagree with what he does because we can....the problem with polls---> people think this is a popularity contest in high school.....and as such....decisions and opinions are easily formed and or made......

After the last xx years....I am sick to death of politics.....polls, and the news.....................................

Anyway.....that is my political vent.....back to regular scheduled programming......!

They did that.............it was the General Election....... :)

Now, to be fair, while Trump won (Electoral Vote) and is now President........Clinton won the "popular vote." So, in my opinion, this is why so much hatred and fussing and cussing is going on with the liberals in America.........

The liberals are having a hissy fit for the Ages...............that's for sure............and you are also right about it is important to know WHO was Polled.

I don't put stock in any Poll that is out there, OTHER THAN, General Elections. But, even then, since only about HALF of our Citizens bother to vote, we STILL do not have a true picture of what the WHOLE Nation thinks/believes........

I don't put much stock in the polls either, especially when it has to do with Donald Trump. Unlike on these forums, people, when questioned about Trump in person, aren't as passionate or "say-it-like-it-is" when answering how they truly feel about him. They are scared of the persecution that may come from giving a positive review of Trump. I've seen it with my own eyes... I can only imagine what it's like in a liberal state.
