But it would likely take years to prosecute. In her case because she has children, the government will not likely prosecute her or those who harbor her.
There is no mercy in the law. If you wish to take her place and be deported instead then the law is satisfied. Even for the believer there are consequences for transgressions against the law. No eternal condemnation but consequences none the less.
If she is not held accountable and those who abet her are not held accountable then there is a complete breakdown of the law and civil order. If she gets saved then she will be deported as a saved undocumented alien.
It is never right to do a wrong to do a right.

I'm not disagreeing with you,I just feel sorry for the lady wanting to be around her family so bad that she would even go to a church thinking It would give her security.

That is not true. There is "mercy" built into our Judicial System, and has been there from the beginning of our Judicial System. Ergo, the rest of your comment is rendered moot.
This "mercy" you say doesn't exist is best shown by the fact that varying levels of punishment can be handed down for the same crime. Sentencing allows for Judicial discretion AND mercy. As well, there is the mercy shown in our Judicial Systems recognition of a persons behavior which could allow them to be paroled earlier than their sentence states.
There is also the Judicial discretion exercised by the District Attorney as it applies to charging someone with a "lesser offense," and also by making "deals" with an accused for testimony against another suspect.

Well for starters, I may just do that, take her place. That's how far we as Christians should go.
I'm not just talking about spiritual salvation. I'm talking about the Christian principle behind salvation. That principle is forgiveness and mercy.
If you want to talk about justice and law and you want to pass judgement, that's okay. First you should give up your salvation and prepare to suffer eternity in hell... pay for your costs to G-d and then I'll grant you that illegal immigrants should pay their costs to you.

It's not manipulation... it's literally just application of G-d's word. G-d didn't save everyone, likewise I doubt we can save all of them... But, G-d did try. Likewise, we should try to save illegal immigrants, refugees, and even criminals. We should look for ways to redeem them.. them paying fines are good... us paying their fines for them, now that's following Jesus.

I don't know,I can't make that call but alas the law Is the law and If she Is breaking the law,she may have to suffer the consequences and I won't argue that point.
I recognize that the law keeps order In society and should not be bent for anyone because If It were to bend for anyone,It would not be fair for everyone.
Nevertheless, I feel sorry for those kids that may not be able to see their grandma everyday If she gets deported.
