No, seriously, the liberal Bill Gates has put forth the idea of TAXING the Robots that have replaced human workers throughout our Country........The more I think about this, the more I like it! This may well be the ONLY TAX INCREASE that even Conservatives could get behind!
Robots are coming for a lot of jobs. And while at first this may seem detrimental, it’s actually a good thing.
There will still be jobs for humans (in fact, job growth has been on the rise in the U.S.), but they will just be different jobs. If we leave jobs that can be automated to the robots, we’ll free up labor so humans can do more meaningful work like caring for the elderly, teaching kids with disabilities and other jobs that require empathy—something robots lack.
Bill Gates Wants to Tax Robots Just Like Humans - New York...
Just imagine what we could do with all of that additional Revenue? I sincerely hope someone in Congress and/or the Administration look at this and give it serious consideration. Especially as they are in the middle of preparing their Tax Proposals. Rather than raise taxes on the human workers here in America, tax those freeloading Robots!
And, if the Robots want to protest, let them get together and elect a spoksebot to represent them in D.C.
