No, seriously, the liberal Bill Gates has put forth the idea of TAXING the Robots that have replaced human workers throughout our Country........The more I think about this, the more I like it! This may well be the ONLY TAX INCREASE that even Conservatives could get behind!

Robots are coming for a lot of jobs. And while at first this may seem detrimental, it’s actually a good thing.
There will still be jobs for humans (in fact, job growth has been on the rise in the U.S.), but they will just be different jobs. If we leave jobs that can be automated to the robots, we’ll free up labor so humans can do more meaningful work like caring for the elderly, teaching kids with disabilities and other jobs that require empathy—something robots lack.

Bill Gates Wants to Tax Robots Just Like Humans - New York...

Just imagine what we could do with all of that additional Revenue? I sincerely hope someone in Congress and/or the Administration look at this and give it serious consideration. Especially as they are in the middle of preparing their Tax Proposals. Rather than raise taxes on the human workers here in America, tax those freeloading Robots! :)

And, if the Robots want to protest, let them get together and elect a spoksebot to represent them in D.C.

I can't wait for the first URU (United Robots Union) strike for higher wages, and endorsement of the democratic party. It won't be long before they are demanding equal rights with humans, and definitely demand the right to vote in the 2020 presidential election.

Billy,
Please don't refer to them as robots.
That's insensitive, and it's right on the verge of hate speech.

They prefer to be called Mechanical Americans.

This week, anyway. What certain groups want to be called seems to change quite often.

Taxing robots is nothing more than increasing taxes on corporations. You'll just be giving the already corrupt government more money to spend. It won't do one iota of good. What good did all those trillions of dollars that Obama's administration spent do? It didn't do a thing for the country. He sent a bunch of it overseas and God knows where the rest of it went.

I'm a Southern Redneck American, but I still answer to poor (?) white trash too, but in the event that I have offended any of my Mechanical American friends, I apologize.

Taxing employees is also taxing corporations.

Are they Transgender?
How are we to know what they Feel they are?
I would never want to impose on someones personal truth that Mechanical Americans do have feelings.

As for the question: What good would it do?

I believe it's a pretty safe bet that Congress is going to continue taxing all working class Americans far beyond what is actually needed, regardless of who is "in Power."

By taxing the heartless, cold, job stealing robots, the tax burden on the working class Americans can be eased somewhat. And, in my opinion, that is justification enough to tax their wee motherboards off!

Many people understand full well that we are sinners who fully need God's grace. Some folks are stronger than others, able to eat spiritual meat and prevail triumphantly over the fiery trials of life unscathed, while others are still only able to drink spiritual milk, needing extra guidance, encouragement and comfort.

May we, as one body in Jesus Christ, earnestly pray for one another, asking God to strengthen all of us, meeting us where we need Him most, so that we may overcome trials, tribulations and temptations.

May we always encourage each other lovingly and in humility, producing not only good fruits of Victory, but champions of Truth and Grace, to the glory of God in Jesus' Name. And let us always be comforted and strengthened by the following:

Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. -- Jesus Christ.

We keep achieving new levels of stupidity with such comments.

too.......too........funny
