SHAMEFUL! 'PROTESTERS' AT A TOWN HALL MEETING FREAK OUT WHEN CHAPLAIN PRAYS "IN JESUS NAME": BOOING, JEERING, ASTONISHING DISRESPECT

Bob Eschliman : Feb 27, 2017 : CBN News

They also booed a local veteran who recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

(Metairie, LA)—[CBN News] Liberal protesters jeered and mocked a Louisiana State chaplain when he opened a town hall meeting with prayer, last week. (Photo via CBN News)

Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy scheduled the town hall meeting in Metairie, Louisiana to discuss issues like immigration, healthcare, and the economy, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
However, when Dr. Michael Sprague announced that he would open with a prayer, protesters from a local anti-Trump group called Indivisible, erupted in anger.

Some shouted "Pray on your own time!" while others yelled "Separation of church and state!"

Video of the event records one woman shouting the name "Lucifer" when the chaplain said God's name.

The yelling did quiet down as the prayer continued, but when Sprague said, "We pray in Jesus' name," protesters shouted again for the separation of church and state.
They didn't stop there.

As a local veteran took the microphone to say the Pledge of Allegiance, the disruptive group booed him also.

Not only did they refuse to stand for the pledge, they yelled "Do your job" and "Get on with it."
One man shouted, "Your words run hollow. Your words run hollow."

Stupid is, stupid does. Those mules have no inconceivable idea how much they blessed the chaplain and veteran for persecuting them for righteousness sake. The laugh's on them. Stand strong brethren and rejoice while you fight the Good Fight.

It's probably highly underestimated by most how difficult a calling it is for a Chaplain who is a Christian to do that job at the government level. They have to support every form of religious beliefs that walk through their door. I don't know how that's even done realistically. But I've known a few and they carry a heavy load, you can usually see it in their face. Probably not relevant to this story, but anyone who would interrupt or disrupt a chaplain has no respect from me.

Normally I would say This falls under free speech but this is probably not appropriate behavior in a town hall meeting

Amen! I was at a funeral two years ago and during the service, the preacher was reading from the Bible and a brother of the deceased interrupted the preacher and commented that he doesn't know the preacher and doesn't want to hear anymore of the sermon, but would like to talk about his brother. Many people were in shock!

The organizers of this event deserve some of the blame..........they should have paused the ongoings and had Security remove these idiots from the event, and then carried on.............

Sooner or later Repubs are going to have to learn to fight Lawlessness with Authority. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech, not hate speech, nor the right to prevent others from speaking............when these idiots act in such a way, they are violating the First Amendment rights of those speaking, and should be removed.........but the Repubs just do not have the intestinal fortitude to exercise proper Authority over their Town Hall events.

Oh, yes they do. They do indeed. It's the other people being Americans that they don't like.

In their perfect world they rule in their utter freedom of taking it away from everyone else.

Re: 'Agitators' Attending a Town Hall Mock Jesus' Name Prayer and Disrespect Vet and

I remembered a couple of years ago a man prayed to "mother earth", "Zeus", and "Lucifer" at a town hall meeting. Some of the city officials leave before the prayer but come back after. I'll see if I can find the video and post it.

The supreme court has made an exception on some governmental meetings to allow for prayer. A couple of questions to consider: 1.) Do you agree with the Supreme Court's decision on their separation of church and state precedent they set? 2.) Why would a town hall meeting be exempt from their decision? 3.) If someone prayed to Lucifer, would you be respectful and quiet or would you protest? 4.) Should someone be allowed to say the opening prayer who isn't a Christian (a Muslim, a Satanist, etc...)?

Democrats do. These aren't Democrats. These are ACLU people. And, from its inception, the purpose of the ACLU through Roger Nash Baldwin was to cause anarchy to destroy America.

(Quote from Encyclopedia.com)
"While in St. Louis, Baldwin attended a speech by noted anarchist Emma Goldman, which affected him profoundly. "Here was a vision of the end of poverty and injustice by free association of those who worked, by the abolition of privilege, and by the organized power of the exploited," Baldwin recalled, as quoted by Cottrell. He developed a collegial association with Goldman and, based both on this affiliation and the onset of the war, began to supplement his reformist ideas with those based on more radical ideologies."

To blame this on the Democrats -- real Democrats -- is akin to blaming Christians for the KKK. The problem we're facing now is the indoctrination of this ideology to Communications majors and academia at large. And now we're on the third generation of this indoctrination.

Or... they really, really believe in free speech. After all, isn't that the purpose of town meetings?

I have to agree with you. Free speech isn't only free if you agree with me and my spiritual beliefs. It should be free even if you hate my God. If we allow prayers in town halls, do Satanists not have the same rights as we Christians?

I believe you and I are going to agree on a LOT of issues.

But the democratic party has moved to the far, far left. They believe in their free speech, but not ours.

They play on our staunch view of freedom of speech. We won't shut em down, so they have free reign to shut us down when ever they want. And they are succeeding at this tactic. Whether it be disrupting a public forum to it's end, or repeating lies over and over to keep us on the defense.

Yes, Americans have to grow a set, and shut these Democrats down when they ignore OUR rights. And this will likely require untying the hands of law enforcement.

Is it the ACLU sitting on the left side of the Congress?

Actually, true Democrats have no more moved to the far, far left, than true Republicans have moved to the middle. What has happened is a faction has taken over MSM and the education system that is so loud, we normal folks are being convinced this is what everyone thinks. It really isn't. It's what a very small group believes but keeps shouting and chanting so the rest of us aren't heard anymore.

Also the reason we got stuck with the choice between Hillary or Trump. That small faction's system of breaking down the Republic, (America is NOT a democracy, it's a republic) is working... to the point even right-wingers are calling America a democracy.

Don't believe the hype!

No, they are the ones the left side of Congress is catering to to get reelected. They think they are catering to minorities, but no one is truly listening to minorities anymore.

It's not hype. If Hillary and the Dems didn't cheat against Bernie, Bernie would have won. And Bernie is a Marxist.

The far left is no small Group. And to be Honest, Hilliary and the top Dems line up with Sanders, they just know that the grapes are not quite ripe yet.

If someone at a town hall meeting is praying to Lucifer...

the appropriate time to protest has already long passed.
