    Default Human Trafficking

I would like to compliment Pennsylvania on a good way to go after sex trafficking of minors.

Philadelphia teen says she was forced to have sex with 1,000 men over 2 years - CBS News

If I were the lawyer in the above case, the amount would be $50,000,000. I really don't understand why the people being sued aren't in jail.
2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. Personally believe those involved in human trafficking should receive a more severe punishment. But God will deal with them either way. Many people believe their getting away with things in this world but their in for a rude awakening on judgement day.

Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore and turn to God, so that your sins may be blotted out, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

When I was a greenhorn law enforcer, a prosecutor told me that if I was angry with someone for their alleged crimes, yes even mad at them for commiting such heinous crimes...that it was null and void without solid evidence.

Maybe it's not proven beyond reasonable doubt?

So difficult to prove. Praying she can eventually forgive and move on.

    Seems the suit is complicated.

    - The people who perpetrated the trafficking, and the owners of the hotel, and different parties.

    - The people who perpetrated the trafficking have been convicted... but the girl is going after the hotel for monetary damages.

    Guys,

If we would go read an article before commenting on it...

we'd have the answers to most of our questions.

Well, the OP said the people being sued belonged in jail, not the necessarily just the people who are convicted for this ludicrous crime.

And how does that become a counter point to my statement?

I guess it's the father and grandfather in me, but 5 or 6 men a day over two years had to at least rouse some suspicion. I wonder what else goes on the motel. The DA said that almost every one of his sex trafficking investigations are connected in some way to the motel.

Ludicrous crime? Since when is sex trafficking ludicrous? Tell that to the families of all the women and girls and boys who are forced into the sex trade every day.. They'll have your head for lunch, guaranteed.

Next time lady, before you go off the handle, it would be an idea to investigate a person's interpretation of a word first. In my family English was not the first language and I use a lot of words incorrectly. Also I'm a dyslectic. But thanks for your kind way of letting me know how foolish I'm conducting myself.

Nowhere in my post did I say or use the word "foolish". Nor did I think you were being foolish. Ludicrous means silly or ridiculous. I was simply pointing out that sex trafficking is hardly ludicrous.. It doesn't matter if you are dyslexic, your spelling is always correct. So calm down, take a breath and stop being so sensitive..

I hope you don't mind if I borrow these ideas.

When I upset people (which is often),
I going to say I'm dyslexic and I don't speak English.

However, I don't think this is really going to be enough for me.
Please let me know if you have more ideas that might help.
I'm leaning toward adding leprosy... and saying it affects my brain.

I'm wondering why the article does not mention who the men are that forced this young girl into prostitution. It did not say who they are, where they are from or anything. I personally don't understand how people can become so conscience ridden, to force a little innocent girl or anyone for that matter into prostitution. I feel sad and horrible just reading about it and what happens to innocent kids. I do understand though that some people are from 3rd world countries and are desperate for basic necessities like food for their families and them. Which is why I'm curious of who exactly the men are that did this horrible act I was wondering if it was just a nasty horrible person or some desperate people. Doesn't make it right either way. I would rather starve myself then force a child into prostitution. But I must say, the article leaves out a lot of important information which I find to be odd.

    Kudos on reading the article.
Yeah, lots of weird things mentioned vaguely; lots of weird things left out.
