I have NEVER said the N word..EVER. And not everyone uses either of those words in reality all the time, either.. If I wanted to be thought of as an excellent artist, I'd make sure my work reflected that..
What about the F word?

I think those that get hung up on a lil word and fail to see the bigger story are like those in the Bible straining for the gnats to swallow camels. Ironically this is a leading reason why many people want to ban the Bible because it tells the grim truth in no compromising language.

He may very well have SOME talent. But if he wants to be taken seriously, he should clean up his lyrical subject matter.. I like the stupid rap of the 80s, before all the F and N words got put into it. Now if I hear a song with swears in it, I turn it off.

Not liking the subject matter doesn't mean the artist isn't talented. I Can't Stand country music because in my opinion they sing about dumb stuff but I'm not going to say they're not talented because that would be ridiculous. I actually saw Snoop Dogg in concert back in the 90s. He put on a really good performance. He's definitely paid his dues because he's been in the rap industry since late eighties.. people who have no Talent don't stay in the industry that long

So you seriously listen to music that has lyrics like "F-ing them h***s? Look at that n****a? " "I'ma pimping that a**". Are you for real? Snoop ain't even a Christian, for goodness sake..
Lol what's h***s?

I don't recognize any of those lyrics off the bat, but sure I listen to rap music. I listen to all sorts of music. I could show you music and music videos without a single arbitrarily so-called "cuss" word that would make most of you special snowflakes lose your fragile little minds straight up.

H***s is a slightly politer word for whores.. :/ I'm not a prude, far from it. Back when I was young and stupid, I said the F word alot. But I grew up and smartened up, and don't say that word anymore.. :) It IS possible to create music that has zero swears in it at all. Doing otherwise just shows how ignorant that artist is.

When every other word in a song is F this, F that, you a N, it isn't worth listening to, IMO.

Lol you never used those words, not even once? Lol I guess I could see that, Canada is suppose to be very PC.
I'm from the deep south, and I haven't used that word since I was 17. I met a young sailor black sailor in boot camp who told me that it was very offensive to him. Notice my age. Until I left the area that I grew up in, I thought that it was just another word. I was wrong.

What did Paul say that I should do "if it offends my brother"?

Oh, then I think you mean H**s. Though I don't see why censor hoes and not censor whores. Though that is a pretty good example of the absurdity of the people that take offense to a feeble little word and want to censor everything because they cannot deal with the terrible reality they themselves created for us.

Lol sure there is plenty of music with no arbitrarily assigned "cuss" words (and what is a cuss word arbitrarily changes like every decade). Good music is just good music. Good art is just good art. The best art and music and rappers try to convey truth. That is why they are successful. People today like rap music not because of the cuss words, but because it reflects the society around them, they can identify with the song, the situation it describes or the emotions involved. We don't live in a nice special snowflake society that those fake people siting in their molding pews looking down their crooked noses at us try to pretend that we live in.

Well you know what they say about opinions.......
You can't really say an entire genre of music is garbage just because you don't understand the culture that produces it

Here's The Snoop Dogg Music Video Trump Is Angry About - Digg
How many of you have seen this video, in which Snoop Dogg shoots a clown parody of Donald Trump. I think by now it's pretty well-known in here that I'm not a fan of Donald Trump but this is just Reckless and irresponsible on Snoop Dogg's behalf. I actually thought he had outgrown all that gangster stuff. There's no doubt that he's a talented artist but I wish you would use his talent to promote positivity in the black community. I've been saying for years that this type of rap music only perpetuates negative stereotypes of black people

I think he's trying to revitalize his career right now... so:

1. It's controversial, thus tons of free media attention.

2. Trump bashing is VERY popular with the left, which runs the music industry, thus much brownie points with all the VIPs.

I suspect it's just a career move.
Just a money thing.

One minute snoop says he's bob marley reincarnated the next minute he's back to promoting drugs and violence.I honesty believe there's something mentality wrong with these celebrities & for many of them the fame & fortune of this world is the only heaven they will ever see. Though i am a hip hop fan i never supported snoop & gradually God has took the desire to listen to that type of music out my life. Trump made a valid point, if it was obama being shot in a video after he was elected there would be an uproar.

Lol hey I ain't taking to you to the Sanhedrin just over the use of a vain word whether it was decades a go or just yesterday. You don't have to try to justify yourself to me lol I don't see anyone as better or worse for using such words or not using them.

I never said that an entire genre of music is garbage, to begin with.. They CAN sing without swearing, can't they? That would give them more credibility IMO..

Groups like public enemy didn't curse much & spoke a positive message. However those who run the industry want music that's destructive not uplifting.

Moses grew up in Pharaohs house.
By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; choosing rather to share ill treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Hebrews 11.25.
Compton isn't the best place to live. But neither was Egypt. The city of Corinth was plagued with sin, but there were believers there.
1 Corinthians 1.1; 6.9-11.
I haven't seen the video. From what is said of its content, it is hateful.
And "Art" is not a license to degrade others and to express hate towards those we disagree with, and that's true regardless of the hate that's in the heart.

Snoop Dogg was a Crip. So he literally was a gangster. But I think he has reached a point in his career now where he should have outgrown all that
Time for the ol' Dog to lay off the weed. Anyone else pulled this trick they'd be looking through prison bars right now.And if it had been done to Obama the MSM wouldn't let it rest.

Ephesians 4:29-30: “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to the needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Sorry,Im going to be hated for this one. The vast majority of rap is total garbage. You can put your struggle in terms other than constant M Fing and worse and talking about women as things to be used. You back this you're backing the same attitude Islam has for women. The junk will rot the brain. Now let the stoning begin....

You have the right to your personal opinion just like others have the right to think the music you may like is garbage.
