$49,000 tuition, not counting room and board. ($70,000 with room and board. Hubby's best friend works in the maintenance department at Drexel, so his kids get a free education if they are accepted and can stick with it. It's tough enough that they make sure 2/3rds of the freshman class quit or fail. One son graduated. Another son is still going. A third son chose another school, and the daughter is still in high school.)
The guy is pretty much an idiot, isn't he? The VA hospital is about half a mile down the road from Drexel and this idiot isn't even aware how many soldiers and vets he passes by each day.
Good news though. Drexel is a science kind of college. Want to be an engineer? Get into Drexel. But this moron is a "Global Studies and Modern Language" assistant professor in the politics department. It's the equivalent of going to Harvard or Princeton to study acting. When you graduate? You can still cross the bridge to Jersey and back for $5! (What everyone pays. lol)
I remember a prof I had in college. I was only a believer for 2-3 years by then (and 2-3 years into backsliding too) but he thought he was mighty important teaching World Lit. He challenged the class to read the story of Jacob and Esau and then tell him where it says God had any problems with Esau. I hadn't read Romans yet. I did the next year and felt like going back to him to handle the trick question. I did one better. Gave the clue to the students going into his class that semester. lol
I've known since I was young that giving the answers the teacher wants earns me the good grades. Knowing the difference between what the teacher wants and the truth -- priceless!
