After reading this, I decided to look up the population of Muslims in the US. Its not very big, according to wikipedia its only about 1% of the population-
Islam is the third largest religion in the United States after Christianity and Judaism.[SUP][1][/SUP] According to a 2010 study, it is followed by 0.9% of the population, compared with 70.6% who follow Christianity, 22.8% unaffiliated, 1.9% Judaism, 0.7% Buddhism, and 0.7% Hinduism.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP]According to a newer estimate done in 2016, there were 3.3 million Muslims living in the United States, about 1% of the total U.S. population.[SUP][3]
[/SUP]After reading that, I decided to check the population of Delaware specifically, I cant find an exact number but according to wikipedia, the state has some history with Islam-[SUP]
Islam in Delaware is an established religion. Although it is unknown how many Muslims live in the state, Delaware has at least five mosques and a sizable Muslim population.
It is possible that the history of Islam in Delaware extends as far back as the origin of the Delaware Moors, a mixed-race community in Kent and Sussex counties whose origins are variously attributed to 18th century shipwrecked Moorish pirates, wives brought over from the 17th century British evacuation of Tangier, or a legendary romance between a European colonist and an enslaved Moorish prince.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][dubious – discuss][/SUP] The community itself lays claims to a Muslim origin dating back to Colonial times.[SUP][2]
[/SUP][/SUP]I agree that its awful that idolatry is being practiced by the state here, but the larger a population is of a people who practice idolatry, the more prayers youll hear for their god.
I hope that the churches in Delaware havent started opening with Islamic prayers, youd think theyd know better. [SUP]
